The successful teams in the second round of the Super 14 tournament understood this truism. The losing sides, except for the ACT Brumbies, did not.

They denied the Brumbies from any log points in the process. The Final score was Bulls 50 / 32.

Lions lock Willem Stoltz and Chiefs number eight Sione Lauaki would have appeared before a SANZAR judicial committee on Saturday after being cited for foul play following Friday’s Super 14 match between the teams in Johannesburg.
If you read the comments on the match, the verdict is clear, “This is not what the rugby public wants” Many blamed the rule interpretations, making the tackler the guilty party almost 90% of the time.

Eventually it was quite comical how the tries flowed because there was just no semblance of defence from either team.
I doubt whether in history there has been such a high scoring Super 14 game, with a full 137 points scored in total!
