A four week suspension is what Bakkies received after his hearing as we all read on a previous thread. Is it fair ? Look at the footage and read further on the rule that was applicable…
Citing Commissioner Freek Burger cited Botha under Law 10.4 (h) for dangerously and recklessly entering a ruck without using his arms or grasping a player. Botha made contact with Stormers right wing Gio Aplon in the second minute of the match.
I for one clearly see his arm making contact with the player basicly simultaneously as the rest of his body or head. Also what about he Stormer player entering the ruck just a split second after Bakkies ? I don’t see much of a difference. Surely Bakkies entered from the side and was rightly penalised. A 4 week suspension, you decide…

No question about it, it was dangerous, but I think 4 weeks is a bit harsh. Guys like Butch, Bakkies, JP Nel, Schalk, etc are always going to be cited when others not wearing a tag will get off no problem.
blouste bakkies did use his arms , the ref clearly on the field told him and punished him for leaDING WITH THE HEAD , and it was with his head that he hit gio in the neck and side of head region
not disputing what he did was wrong and dangerous , but like i said before there is no consistency

Ou Saint het bv. nou nog nie my vraag geantwoord waarom Franks nie ook aangewys en geskors is vir sy spear tackle op Danie nie. Hy weet as hy daardie een antwoord, moet hy erken dat sekere spelers/spanne strenger behandel word as ander spelers/spanne.

and as far as i am concerned bakkies for the past weekend at most should have gotten a 2 weeker
the bok game he is also being judged on as per history , but he should never have been found guilty in the bok game
