Check Wikipedia… the whole of SA records 4 earthquakes in total or 5 if you go all the way back to 1809 in the Capte Town area where there was one on a farm somewhere. The last 3 were (18 Nov 2013 – 1 incident & 2 Dec 2013 – 2 incidents) were mere tremors.
The supposedly big earthquake was on 29 September 1969 in Tulbach in the Ceres Region in the Cape, and lasted 15 seconds.. followed by some aftershocks months later.
Now compare the New Zealand Earthquakes, specifically the Canterbury and Christchurch areas and you’ll see heaps of them, recorded from 1869 to more recently…
