I just dont buy this players pulling out on the matchday. I think there may have been dounlbt on deysel or bissie in the week already and and they delayed the decision untill the final moment. this also happened to lambie.

also jake made a lot of unnecessary replacements in this game as if it was a predetermined plan without considering the disruptions. the sharks arr holding in the a prayer and the idea thag their depth is amazing and that they wont suffer from tried and tested combinations.

Like I said before, when the sharks start losing they will panic and become desperate.

Ps I will change my gravatar when I get home from work.

It was a circus yesterday, that last highlanders try it was like the sharks still felt they just need to show up and take the win. Alberts had one of those games where he couldnt tackle.

    @ nortierd:
nope both played 9 games. the only teams in the top 6 with a game in hand are the highlanders and the force.

    @ nortierd:
Website on its own means nothing, things started improving here when some real rugby lovers like yourself, McLook, Blommiebul, Puma et al started putting up articles and comments.
And of course, GBS also runs a tight ship on R-T as far as bigotry, blasphemy, xenophobia, homophobia, drunken behaviour and Bulslphobia Slam-Dunk are concerned….sadly those were the undoing of sites like Voldy… Cry-Out and the reasons for us being here today. Who-s-the-man

Sorry, you are right, I was thinking of after the Brumbies played in the morning and before the Sharks game.
They missed building up an extra 4 point cushion.

also the decision to make mcwolkie captain… not cullen, not kanko, not fransie…

    baffling.

How much did you reckon was Peyepr’s contribution to the Sharks yesterday if compound it in points?
I put it at Min. 10

True, but I honestly cringe when I read some of the comments, and that’s why I find it amusing that I am seen as one of the worst offenders of anti-Sharkinitus on here Wink
Daai mense raak darem baie lelik.
I still believe that if it is expected that a player be praised when doing well, then the opposite must also happen when they play poor or do something that isn’t in the spirit of the game.

All things said. the sharks should still win 2 games on tour, surely they cant lose to the rebels?

but I really hoped this shark team could finally be a local team to win in Christchurch! but that looks a lot more difficult now.

    @ Hondo:
Peyper overall was not bad, but there was one or two instances where he could have sent sharks players off for professional fouls, like when tera came from a woefully offside position to kick the ball away while the highlanders was in attack and jpp’s deliberate knock down on the tryline.

  • 430

a deliberate knock down should be a penalty regardless if it goes forwards or backwards.

  • 431

    @Hondo
Whether the Shark supporters want to believe or except it or not, it’s clear Peyper is planted to assist. I haven’t seen the penalty count, but I’m sure it was in favor of the Sharks, and the yellow card was a farce, but if he was serious about it, then the Sharks should have copped one when Daniels took out their jumper as well.
Frans again threw his toys and a Highlanders player, he got away with it against Beale in play, yesterday he threw the guy after the whistle in front of the ref.
The Highlander just nullified his influence by scoring tries, so the penalties that usually win them the games was taken out of the equation.

Didn’t the Rebels beat the Chiefs at home?
    Don’t bet against it

    Agree, consistency not there

Also, I see they are not playing the Blues in Auckland, but at home the Blues are not easy and we know they will score tries.

They klapped us as well & I seem to recall them taking the Crusaders out last year as well.

    @ Pietman:
He is doing a good job at it
The rowdy, rude and bad mouthing comments in other rugby sites long since made them unreadable.

  • 437

    432 @ nortierd:
Was a rhetorical question of the status quo. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • 438

    @Macrobull 437
    Happy-Grin
    Gooooooooo Rebels
    Wink

  • 439

    @ nortierd:
You already made your sbru pick?

  • 440

well the good thing about sa teams not qualifying is the sharks can play all their playoff games in australia.

  • 441

    @MacrBull
No, this round is the last of my picks I made in March.
So I must still make my May picks.
Going to be difficult going against the Sharks, but the wobbles are starting, they are tired and the Rebels are resting, so I guess I will be backing the Rebels

    You mean their one?

penalty count was 16:7 according to the NZ Harald, it was more than that of course, turning a blind eye on so many transgressions?!
And a Yellow for a line out jumper from the Landers? when did you see that last time?
Yep, I saw that throw by Frans, makes one wonder if he would have done it to Aplon or JdJ too?
    ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • 444

    @ nortierd:
hehe they might win the semi

  • 445

    @Hondo
Yep, the last time I saw it it also happened to be at Kings Park when the Reds lost a player to the bin
    Wink
    Coincidental don’t you think?

  • 446

then again the semi would likely be in nz vs the chiefs

Away from home against a team other than the Stormers?
    Serious or rhetorical?

  • 448

well I got to admit. the rest of the game does not matter. peyper is finally a ref with some balls to blow a player up for crawling… so he is ok in my books…

even if he is a shark.

  • 449

    @ nortierd:
yep the sharks cant do any worse than third. so thats a playoff at home. semi in nz if they win and final in canbera if they win there. so if you end third you need to play a playoff in each country.

  • 450

    @ MacroBull:
    Nope, not a coincidental
Like in the rucks and the scrums, something is always going on there and no reason for a yellow UNLESS it took place with in the 5m zone.
I feel for HM who is forced to select again JP, Mvovo or JdJ against the ABs, he is gonna smash few bottles more
