Apparently Reinach and Bismarck are touring. Not sure if they will play the first game or not. Not sure what to expect.

Bissie’s withdrawal cost me in the fantasy as well.
    Why did he withdraw?
You miss Lambie most of all, nothing seems to be happening in the backline since his injury

    @ IAAS:
    Have to stay in character.

    @ nortierd:
BDP had some unspecified injury. Swiel isn’t really cutting it. Perhaps he is our Elton and I should start abusing him like a raving lunatic and foaming at the mouth.

  • 370

Please send Swiel back to us
    Angel
Would love to see him back at WP where he belongs.
Your stalwarts are looking jaded and tired and they have tests to still play as well.
By the time the SR starts after the June tests, they will be seriously wobbly, and that’s when the business end really starts.
Luckily the Stormers are rubbish, so no Boks from them, so they can rest out and prepare for the Sharks in Durban

  • 371

    @ nortierd:
You wish. Meyer changes his team selections about as often as Skoppie admits he was wrong, which means several Stormers will be required.

  • 372

I can only surmise that Jean and Duane will be selected.
Duane not really deserving on SR form, hopefully he does better for the Boks.

  • 373

    @ nortierd:
Plus Frans Malherbe, Eben (expected back in May), Kolisi, maybe Schalk, maybe even Schreuder, JDJ and Taute.

Come now, you are trying to make them sound like a good side

Good players – bad team. Go figure.

  • 376

Damian de Allende can’t be far aawy from the Bok squad either. And if Fikile leans on Meyer, why wouldn’t he pick Carr?

Couple of good players, lots of poor players and poor coaching and game plan

  • 378

    @ nortierd:
I still maintain that Taute is hopeless, for the record.

  • 379

    De Allende is doing well

    I concur

Funny how he looked good at the Lions though.

    It’s like Josh Strauss
He looked good because the rest were so far below par.
But maybe he picks up the pace at some stage, I have a feeling the Stormers will still shock one or two teams this season

  • 383

    @ nortierd:
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Wandile Mjekevu looked Folau-esque. Then he came to the Sharks and played Vodacom Cup.

It’s the same when Aswin Willemse was Bok of the year, but look how shocking the Boks were at that stage with Jorrie and Louis Koen etc

  • 385

    @ nortierd:
We could be reminiscing fondly about that team later this year.

  • 386

    @Kaki
O hell, you could be right.
My money is on Aus this year to stop the AB’s record run and maybe take the SR.
Maybe HM gets the guys right, and we have decent players still p,aging overseas

  • 387

What is it with the Sharks and when they celebrate a player’s personal milestone or farewell.
It’s almost like a voodoo spell, remember Lem and Teichman and their last game, now the Cullen of loose forwards celebrates his 100th and it goes pear shaped

  • 388

    @ nortierd:
Barney also lost his 100th Test, missing a tackle to seal the deal 😆

  • 389

Brumbies should destroy the Sharks on tour. Watching them klap the Chiefs now.

  • 390

Who can forget that, at least he got a boot as prize.
    Maybe he had it bronzed?
I felt gutted after that game
