On the bands issue: we have so many world-class musos and bands and we are so culturaly rich, guys. I still want to hear mbaqanga with U2-type delayed guitar; or boeremusiek featuring a deadly blues or jazz guitarist; or the resurrection of ghoema etc…

In many cases those venue owners are taking a huge financial risk to offer us live music.

45 – Ash, here on Holiday. Had a business trip to Brisbane then flew to Perth for a weeks holiday. Must say the beaches here in Perth are outstanding.
Fly back to Umhlanga tomorrow evening.
