Jean De Villiers is back with the Springboks.
This is great news. It seems that Peter De Villiers has finally decided to go back on his policy and pick the best players wherever they are playing their rugby.
First it was CJ Van der Linde, then BJ Botha and now Jean De Villiers. Let’s hope Frans Steyn is next and Peter De Villiers will continue to pick them even when the Boks are back playing in South Africa.

Dublin – Centre Jean de Villiers will join the Springbok squad in Dublin on Thursday.
De Villiers, who joined Irish club Munster in September, has been called to the squad to replace Adi Jacobs, who has been ruled out of Saturday’s Test against Ireland due to an ankle injury.
Jacobs will return to South Africa tomorrow.
The Springbok team to face Ireland will also be named on Thursday.
The Bokke have actually been blessed with the right injuries to the right players on this Tour…. harsh to say, but true

Now see that Bakkies is seeing a back specialist. Don’t play with a injured back it could become very serious Bakkies take advice from me. I know.
We do need our enforcer but not at the expensive of his back.
We in poo if he can not play. Bekker to start then and Danie at 8. Kanko will have to be on the bench. Bekker will have to play for 80 min. We should have had Sykes in the Dirt Trackers now this is the time that it would have counted. Having someone like that play and stay behind with the Boks if we picked up injuries.
Hope Bakkies is fine. One player we REALLY NEED.

So now we have both of the most over rated players in the country on Centre for this weekends game. The big black hole in the middle of the back line. Jean de Villiers does not know how to pass a ball! Watch him turn over possesion against the Irish loose forwards.

Now the biggest worry is Bakkies back. He went to see a specialist today. So hoping he is fine but not play with a injured back that will cause life long pain. Needs to start injury free totally if it is a back injury.

How the heck does PdV’s selection criteria works?!!! What is Wynand then doing on tour (this is not about Wynand but about the principle)? I’m really starting to think that this guy is clueless and that Lady Luck (or should it be Lady Injury) just keeps on saving his @ss.
