Volgens Beeld is Gary Botha oppad terug Pretoria toe.

    @Loosehead – AGREED and as of this moment LAW hehehehe

    More almal. Dink JLP is dalk n stap terug vir julle Bulle. Of gaan Kuun opgeoffer word?

    Rugby Player Positions – What they really mean!

    The Pack

    Eight handsome burly guys whom you’ll gladly give your beer and food to, and you’d want to marry your daughter. They are intelligent, elegant, sensitive, and sweet. Truly the ideal men.

    The Backs

    Seven guys who will steal your beer while you’re not looking, take advantage of your women folk, barnyard animals, and all tubular household objects. Often dine on quiche, brie cheese and wine. Been known to understand the rule of the ESPN Extreme games’ rules. Regularly take blow dryers on road trips, wear bikini underpants, and carry STDs (AVOID AT ALL COSTS).

    Prop

    Short but stout, these strapping men support the hooker, but no money ever changes hands and the act is never specificaly named.

    Hooker

    Often identified by a balding spot atop the head, these vertically challenged but talented men stand between the two props, and secures the ball for his team during scrummages.

    Second Row

    These tall powerful men are the driving engines not only the scrum, but of the entire game. They can be found working their magic from deep in the scrum, behind the front row, or lofting high above the line outs pulling balls from the air.

    The Back Row

    Usually the most handsome and intelligent, these three men of strength are often considered the renisance men of the rugby field. They not only control the ball, but the entire pitch. Remember, the back row defines the whole team’s style of play.

    Scrumhalf

    The point guard of the rugby team the scrumhalf distributes the ball, runs hits, and kicks. Scrumhalf is only half as handsome and burly as the pack members

    Flyhalf

    The first of those back guys, and the first of the offensive chain. Often confused with an insect, may be referred to as the man with “the foot.”

    Centers

    Another pair of those back guys. Either power runner, or annoying scampering guy usually found in the opposite order, but whose main purpose is to get the ball to …

    Wings

    Ideally the fastest men on the team. Their job is to “score with the ball”, but they often confuse it with “get tackled with the ball.” Also an excellent snack when smothered in hot sauce and deep fried.

    Fullback

    The last line of defense. A back even the pack can appreciate, often viewed as a back row in the larval stage.

    question:
    who by the way was the first big union after re-admission who succeeded in “poaching” a player from another union (also one of the big 5)
    and
    who was that player?

    36@Supa Die Bloubul

  • 38

    @Ashley – Balie Swart from the WP to the Lions?

  • 39

  • 40

    @Ashley
    Balie Swart?

  • 41

    Kyk, daai tyd was ek nie eers 10 jaar oud nie…

  • 42

  • 46

    @KingPaul – #45 Ja ek onthou die Uli Schmidt saga en dit was laaaaaaaank voor Balie Swart se dae, en by the way dit was ook Transvaal gewees…hmmmm the plot thickens, hulle het daarmee begin and now it has come back to bite them in the arse so to say

    hehehehe

  • 47

    @KingPaul
    Dink jy is reg, Carel.

  • 48

    @KingPaul
    Dalk Robert du Preez, wat van NTvl na Natal is.

  • 49

    @Pietman – What about the Tjarks :shrak:ing Vleis Visagie?

  • 50

    @Tripples – @46 hehehe
    Jy is reg! Nou is hulle hardegat oor ons vir Jacqui Fourie wil steel!!

  • 51

    Helloooooooooo

    Damn ek werk weer te hard.. flok

    Weet iemand hier hoe oud Gary Botha nou is ?

  • 52

    Wait. It is the Bulls. How else did all the good rugby players land up doing the National Service in PTA?

  • 53

    @Pietman
    Ek sal gou so bietjie gaan rondloer, maar ek wil my verbeel Carel is bietjie ouer as Robert du Preez?
    Hy wat Robert is het mos saam met Jacques Olivier en oorlede Gerbrandt Grobelaar gespeel?

  • 54

    @grootblousmile – As hy ouers as 30 is moet hy mos eerder WP toe kom!!

  • 55

    balie swart

    kingpaul @ 45
    ja ekt eintlik vergeet van carel, michael en vuiluil smidt. so dan was balie nie die eerste nie

    tripples @ 46

  • 56

    @KingPaul
    Dink jy is reg, Robert het eers in ’92 Springbok geword, Carel 10 jaar vroeer….alhowel hulle ouderdom seker nie meer as 5 jr verskil nie.
    Robert het op sy ‘oudag’ Springbok geword.

  • 57

    @Ashley
    Onthou, die manne het nie noodwendig vir geld getrek daai jare nie, meer vir persoonlike redes soos werkgeleenthede ens.
    Carel weet ek was bestuurder by Avis of Tempest in Jhb. Sy broer Jacques het agter hom aangetrek en ook n paar games vir Tvl gespeel, as ek dit nie mis het nie.

  • 58

    57@Pietman
    komaan pietman

Ou Louise Luyt was mos ‘n uitgeslape besigheidsman. Of dalk miskien nou nie geld in ‘n koevert nie maar iets soos dat Carel daar kom werk het by Avis maar met ‘n CEO se pay?
