Etzebeth steals the line out and there ends the Cheetahs hopes.

  • 92

Freddy Z passes to JJC Iemand in the second row of the stand.

  • 93

    Hooter goes.

  • 94

    Penalty Cheetahs after the hooter.

Ref’ says they can have a line out.

    Who will get the lollipop?

  • 95

Boom Prinsloo kicks the pill away and condemns his side to the defeat.

  • 96

Well, so far. Lions the only rugby team in SA worthy of holding their heads up. This was another load of shyte dished up that is an embarrassment to that wonderful game we call rugby.

  • 97

At least we broke the Bloemfontein bogey…very happy with the win away from home

  • 98

    Mmmmm,

The Cheetahs gave the Stormers a good run for their money… interesting!

  • 99

    96 @ Just For Kicks:
Not sure if the Lions are there yet, but thus far they do look the most complete of the local sides.

Agree totally this was one crap game of Rugby Union. Poor handling. Poor decision making. Poor tackling. Poor set pieces.

Sometime you have to win ugly I guess.

  • 102

    Thanks Mr Kempies, really appreciated!

If you could go out of the Edit Window, I could just take it off “Sticky” and finish it up!

I am now back at Rugby-Talk Central, and well in time for the next game!

    98 @ grootblousmile:
Not a quality game at all.

    Disappointed in general.

  • 104

    @ grootblousmile:
    Already out.

  • 105

    104 @ Scrumdown:
Thanks… I am also already out and done with the final bits.

  • 106

OK, over to the Sharks / Jaguares thread!

  • 107

    @ Scrumdown:
Yep, we haven’t won there in three years, so anyone expecting a runaway victory must have been very optimistic.
Even the 10 point margin is much higher than I expected and more than I would have hoped for

  • 108

Stormers are not a championship side…so getting more wins than losses equates to a successful season.

  • 109

The less you expect the less you get. @ nortie:

  • 110

Poor rugby by Stormers. Tight 5 looks good. Line outs are good. Ball handling, wait what ball handling? Not sure if there is a game plan either.

Cheetahs have a good team. They need time.

  • 111

    Congrats Stormers.

Could not watch the game because I was at the Relay for Life that was organised by Cansa.

By all accounts it was a poor game of rugby but it was an AWAY win nonetheless. Since I, and many other Stormers supporters, had them to lose against the Cheetahs in Bloem, this is an unexpected bonus that we welcome with both arms.

    Well done.

    Commentators curse

Think at least 200 minimum here will give the bowlers something to play with

  • 116

    @ nortie:
    Hi Nortie. How are you?

Yes…Gibbs mentioned it as well…190-200 to be competitive. We need Faf and Duminy to take us deep into the innings.

  • 117

Struggled to get that comment through and then Duminy falls.

    Hau…

  • 118

It is said that you can project what a team’s score will be at the end by doubling what they have after 11.3 overs.

After 11.3 overs SA were 106/2. That means that they should get around 212, if there is not a batting collapse along the way.

  • 119

    Miller out…36 from 24 balls.

Takes 20 runs in an over an then get out going for another 6.

  • 120

    116 @ Nama:
    All good, and your side?
Happy we got the win yesterday….Bloem has been a bit of a bogey ground these last few years.
Some are unhappy with the way we and the Sharks won, but I would rather be a Lion, Stormer or Shark supporter sitting on 2/2
