Prayers to the french people, what happened last night in paris was horrible. How long can europe take this? It will only get worse and worse with an influx of these “refugees”.

    @ MacroPolo:
Terrible events, rip all those killed.

Hi nortie Haarties is quite close to Mossel Bay think you can see it across the bay must be about 10 or 15 minutes drive. Beautiful part of the world especially if you head on the way to Knysna pity you won’t be there for long

  • 69

    @ nortie:
If am not mistaken from George you go past Hartenbos on your way to Mossel Bay

  • 70

    @ Bullscot:
Thanks Bully, also how I saw it.
Googled the distances, doesn’t seem to far.
Is a pity it’s only for one night

    Bully,

With the horrible terrorist events in Paris, do you perhaps know if it affects the European Rugby Champions Cup games today?

  • 72

My condolences to France and the French people!

Hi Gbs it most certainly will. Racing and Glasgow were due to play each other this afternoon there, not heard anything official but doubt it will go ahead. In the early hours Glasgow advised fans not to try travel over for it, borders closed too. Not sure how many fans are already there but the players would have got there yesterday at the latest, will be a scary time for all the people

    @ 70

Hartenbosch is a kak place… too many blue bull supporters on land and sharks (real one’s) in the water.

Mossel Bay is better but not great.

George is a bit of a mixed bag ..

The area between Wilderness and Plet is heavenly.

There are 3 games that was going to be on TV in SA today:

Oyonnax vs Ulster in France – 15:00 SA Time
Racing Metro vs Glasgow Warriors in France – 17:15 SA Time
Saracens vs Toulouse in England – 19:30 SA Time

I don’t think the 2 games in France will go ahead

  • 76

    @ grootblousmile:
Not sure about the Sarries game as that one will be in London but between today and tomorrow there is 4 Champions Cup games scheduled in France doubt they will be played not checked how many Challenge Cup games could be affected but at time like this the sport is secondary

It is terrible that the world has come to this that the world is basically held at ransom to the whims of these truly mad and ruthless savages.

Hi robzim no man I liked Harties, thought if anything it was full of Free Staters on their caravan holidays at ATKV. Met nice one from Bloem Uni

    78 @ Bullscot:
Hartenbos is a beautiful place, friendly people… great long stretched beaches with wonderful rock pools.

George International Airport is on the Hartenbos / Mosselbay side of George, some 10 or maybe 15km away from George, near Haroldsbay.

Mosselbay is about 50km away from George, on the N2 Highway, so George International Airport is about 25 – 30km away from Hartenbos, I would tink, very close to the N2, easy access to the Airport and easy access to Hartenbos itself too from the N2 Highway.

Proteas bowled out in under 60 overs on day 1 already.
Looks likely they will be 0/2 in the next couple of days

    Saw this on Planet Rugby

The Racing 92 versus Glasgow Warriors fixture has been postponed following the appalling events that happened in Paris on Friday evening.

A tweet sent out by the two teams said that the European Rugby Champions Cup game at Stade Yves-du-Manoir would not go ahead on Saturday.

“BREAKING: Today’s Champions Cup game against Racing 92 has been postponed. We’ll provide further updates when we get them,” said Glasgow.

The news comes after Paris was attacked last night and 120 people were killed in gun and bomb attacks. France has since declared a state of emergency and closed its borders.

    @ nortie:
By die casino dink ek.

So halfuur se ry van hartenbos lughawe toe. 45 minute van garden court af.

  • 83

    @ nortie:
    And 180 people hurt.

  • 84

    82 @ MacroPolo:

    Pleasure

  • 85

    @ nortie:
Thanks nortie just popped back to say had seen Glasgow confirming the game was postponed.

Vir werk, so self catering staan my nie aan nie 😉

  • 87

    @ grootblousmile:
Haha gan kak man. Ek ry gewoonlik so 25 minute van hartenbos af. Kan seker in 30 minute doen can garden court af.

I wouldn’t also be surprised if more matches get cancelled this weekend

  • 89

    87 @ MacroPolo:
