    @ grootblousmile:

Heel goed vir ‘n eerste outing, groot games begin volg naweek

    421 @ MacroBok:

    @ grootblousmile:
@423 – good comments. Hope any questions Hm had, have been answered, at least partially, today.

    424 @ MacroBok:

I am not negative my friend. I love the Boks as much as You. I just want a team that can DOMINATE the All Blacks like they do to us. We can do it, there is enough great players here. NZ is way smaller than us, they have fewer players and they dont deserve to be feared by us.

If we adopt the best principles , the thing they do. We CAN take our rightful place back, then we will hear them bitch and moan when the shoe is on the other foot.

If you accept to be 2nd best OK , its your right.
I will use THIS platform to air my view. I also praise when it is deserved

    @ superBul:
I obviously do not accept being second best, but I choose to celebrate a good win when we do, want us to beat the all blacks more than anything, but we have achieved something great over the last few years that we are not losing to crap teams lie Scotland (touch wood)

Be happy for the win man, there is enough in my life to be bitter about, I am surely not going to be upset we beat the world xv by only 34 points.

Bollie

Do not forget the Argentina / Ireland Test, tonight at 20:40 SA time, the Live Game Article is already up and running for that one!

Bokke het my baie pleasantly surprise.

  • 433

    Not bad at all.

    Cowan is a twat.

Pienaar Janine dup and guthro are nowhere.

You can pick any Backline you want they will go nowhere with Pienaar at 9.

    430 @ superBul:
Ag jy praat mos nou loutere kak man, niemand was nog ooit onaanraakbaar in my oë nie.

  • 435

    433 @ gunther:
Jimmy Cowan deserved his Yellow for those stomps, repeatedly, on Duane Vermeulen’s arm… what a tosspot he turned out to be today!

I see you also agree with my assessment of Ruan Pienaar, Jannie du Plessis & Gurthro Steenkamp.

  • 436

    @ grootblousmile:

And then the flattie to the face.

    Pienaar is constipated at 9.

There are half a dozen nines who are better.

  • 437

blikemmer check die mcguyver resies op SS8

  • 438

    @ gunther:

    Indeed, Ruan is one dimensional

Rienach, Kockott and Hougie is ahead of him on the pecking order.

    But he knows the calls….

  • 439

I believe everyone here is carried away for no reality touch
That was a meaningless, worthless game, the World XV only played with a full intent the first 15 minutes or so, their backs such a Giteau, Mitchel, Cockott or O’Connor can do much more than what they showed us.
I advocate cautious, trim your enthusiasm a bit 😉
Saying that, the AB forwards were molested this morning by the Poms, Kaino, Messam McCaw were manhandled by Robshow, Morgan and Haskel, the ruthless ABs selectors will bring better players in soon!
The Wallabies won against a disinterested, indifferent Frogs Team, it’s difficult to gauge their progress under McKenzie, my guess is they’ll get better

  • 440

    @ Hondo:
mate you said a whole lot there without saying anything at all.

most of us are happy with the way we won because earlier in week the feelings were that we are going to kick everything away and all doom and gloom, but the springboks gave us a good attacking game.

in short we are celebrating the positives and noting the negatives like the scrum and penalties conceded at ruck time.

Everyone knows that wales will be a much tougher contest and we all accept it, no one has gotten carried away.

  • 441

To put this win in perspective, we can use the SuperBru predictions.
97% of the people taking part picked the Bokke, but the score surprised.

South Africa won by 34. 97% of players picked this win.The average pick was South Africa by 12.

I think most players were also expecting either more from the World XV, or a more conservative game by SA, with the average margin being 12 points.

It’s fair to say that the Bokke exceeded expectations, and that is great.

Compared to the AB’s where they got a smaller margin than expected.

New Zealand won by 5. 99% of players picked this win.The average pick was New Zealand by 12.

    @ nortierd:
Those guys on SW must be livid that the Bu… eh boks won yesterday 😀

  • 443

    Lol
I am very pleased that my take on the game was completely wrong.
Even with Ruan there, we still had intent to play more than kick, so good for him too, and one of his wobbly kicks led to a try as well.
Think all the guys had positive moments, even Jannie, that wobbly kick led to him giving a wobbly pass, and JP fixed it with that between the legs pass.

  • 444

    @ nortierd:
I feel bad for ruan he had a bad first half but started the second like a house on fire… then they take him off after 10 or so minutes

  • 445

    @MB
Maybe we must accept that he is solid, without being flashy.
I realize that Reinach and McCloud for instance do much more on the field, but look how even they were castigated on SW after the loss to the Stormers. Ruan might not score the tries Reinach does, but he makes less mistakes. It’s difficult to decide whether one wants a guy who can win you a game, but also lose you one, or a guy who won’t lose you a game and just does the job.
HM is very big on structures, so we know who he will go for

  • 446

    @ nortierd:
I still back Jano Vermaak, that guy leaving south africa and the Bulls should be to blame, would have been a really really good springbok

  • 447

    @ nortierd:
People will want the guy who can win or lose games… but whoever the springbok coach is who selects those players will not last very long.

  • 448

    @MB
Yes, Vermaak just started settling, but then everyone was screaming that Piet van Zyl is the new flavor of the month.
There we must blame the Bulls for not having the foresight and getting carried away with blowing all their money on juniors, instead of securing Jano.
I love it when Sarel does something spectacular, but he can do that when the Cheetahs play a NZ team hell bent on playing an open game, it won’t happen in a test.
FdP is tried and tested and so is Ruan, and from all the younger and uncapped scrum halves currently playing, I would select Reinach to join the group and learn.

  • 449

    @ nortierd:

  • 450

    @449
Of, gaan hy soos Van Zyl die flavor of the month wees?
