Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made two changes to the team that lost to the Bulls last weekend for their match against the Sharks.

Hennie Daniller has been named at fullback for Saturday’s clash against the Sharks in Bloemfontein which means that Riaan Viljoen moves to the wing and Riaan Smit drops to the bench.

The other change to the team was a forced one due to injury as Kabamba Floors is sidelined with a knee ligament injury and is replaced by Johan Wessels who came on for Floors against the Bulls.

Former Stormers and Leicester flanker Pieter Myburgh joined the Cheetahs earlier this week and has been named on the bench.

Cheetahs:

15 Hennie Daniller, 14 Riaan Viljoen, 13 Robert Ebersohn, 12 Corne Uys, 11 Philip Snyman, 10 Sias Ebersohn, 9 Sarel Pretorius, 8 Davon Raubenheimer, 7 Ashley Johnson, 6 Johan Wessels, 5 Martin Muller, 4 Francois Uys, 3 WP Nel, 2 Adriaan Strauss (capt), 1 Coenie Oosthuizen.

Replacements: 16 Ryno Barnes, 17 Lourens Adriaanse, 18 Izak van der Westhuizen, 19 Pieter Myburgh, 20 Tewis de Bruyn, 21 Naas Olivier, 22 Riaan Smit.

Agreed Loskoppie VRYSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! The boys will be pi$$ed off at being beaten at Moftus, and the Tjaaarks will bear the brunt of their anger. Viljoen’s shift to wing is a good idea, as Smit has been a bit fragile in some defensive situations. Myburg was an industrious flank, at WP, so he will fit in well with the Cheetahs style. I believe Frans Viljoen is off to France, but it’s not a major, as young Phillip vd Walt has impressed me.

Piy about our lineouts and Coenie’s yellow on Sat. Bulls deserved to win, but for a change it’s the Cheetahs that can say, they beat our second team. Juan Smith, Heinrich Brussow, Frans Viljoen, Wilhelm Steenkamp, Waltie Vermeulen, izak vd Westhuizen, Leon Karemaker, and Kabamba Floors. Now there are some stout fellows amongst that list. As it is, the Bulle escaped being moered but solid for the second time this year!!

    Go Cheetahs!

3: Dankie dat julle ons nie opgefrommel en gemors het nie, vir die hoeveelste keer in superrugby was die bulle weereens ‘gelukkig’ om teen die Ctahs te wen. 😉

    @ Loosehead:

    hahahahahaha, pouching sharks.

Seriously, I hope the Cheetahs win, for the future of the Franchise.
However I think the Sharks might just have a bit TOO much in their arsenal to go down. Especially at this point of the season.

The Freestate is like an orphanage where the Sharks come to get underveloped children with potential and then mold them into real rugby players. 😉
