Seriously though it’s nice to see that the lions have improved their defense. Now they actually have one!

By making a comeback, I’m changing the attitude of people toward me. If I’d known that people would react so enthusiastically, I’d have done it years ago. – Mark Spitz

Ha ha ozzie commentators are now starting to worry as they realise that the lions could actually really, likely, very possibly win this one!!

Problem is that if they win this and 1 moregame thisyear,Manie and co will considerthe season a success.

    Maak die Lions almal Bokke!!!
The brumbies are absolutely at their nadir, they can’t possibly get worse. On de uder hand darren, the lions could get a bit better.

  • 112

    Nou vir die chitahs!!

  • 113

Is it only me or do you guys also think the Lions defence was better and there was actually a plan and some structure to this Lions performance?

  • 114

    109@ Loosehead:
Nothing to do with me. Everything to do with the players BELIEVING ANDSHOWING COMMITMENT.

Strauss is grinning like a Cheshire Cat.

Will have to send the team a crongratulatory sms.

In reality though, the Brumbies are k@k and the Lions actually played more to their potential than the last few weeks.

Jantjies, Hollenback and Rhodes all had excellent games IMO.

  • 116

112: en wat van die bulletjies ?

  • 117

Think the most important reason for the win is that the brumbies were extremely kuk, but that being said the lions were far more committed and structured and with this win will gain a lot of confidence. Sport as in life is mainly played in the space between your ears and that’s been a big problem for the lions up to now.

    113@ grootblousmile:
Absolutely, but JM has beenn saying all season that the players weren’t executing the game plan.

    Maybe he was right.

After the last game he said he felt that the tour was really necessary to get the players away from the poisoned chalice that is Doornfontein. Although he didn’t use those words.

I have a feeling in my water that the Chitahs are going to knock over the saders too. There is going to snow and blizzards galore on the highveld ouens!
