Ja nee, puma! Agree ’07 was great too. Two saffa teams in the final and i was behind the sharks then! But i meant from an unbiased rugby perspective, if such a thing exists =D

61 – Turk, Not to worry buddy, know the feeling if your team makes the semi in this tourney. Puff your chest out. It is a awesome feeling. Sharks topped the log that year too. We should have won that cup. Sorry we never as now no more S14. S15 from next year.

Okay don’t think we will hear about Bakkies today. Probably only tomorrow. We would have heard something by now if they wanted us to know.

The Vodacom Bulls will have another night’s restlessness while they await the outcome of the disciplinary hearing for their star lock Bakkies Botha.

After a mammoth four hour hearing at Loftus Versfeld yesterday, no result was eventually declared at 5.30pm with the judicial chairman, Advocate Jannie Lubbe only to make his ruling after considering all the facts on Tuesday morning.
Ironically the Bulls could be practising at Orlando Stadium in Soweto at the time the news is broken to them, with Botha among their ranks.

The mammoth session, which started at 1pm at the offices yesterday, showed just how difficult a case it is, with the Bulls showing video evidence in support of Botha in much the same way as the Springboks did last year when Botha was banned for the exact same offence in the Lions series.

In that series, there was a massive outcry as Botha was following the letter of the law, prompting the IRB to eventually get involved and the law to be reviewed.

While no details from the hearing were released, it is certain that the complexity of the current law and Botha’s protest of innocence will need to be reviewed fully before a decision is taken.

Citing Commissioner Freek Burger cited Botha under Law 10.4 (h) for dangerously and recklessly entering a ruck without using his arms or grasping a player. Botha made contact with Stormers right wing Gio Aplon in the second minute of the match.

The Bulls will anxiously await news of whether Botha can play in Saturday’s Vodacom Super 14 semi-final against the Crusaders at Orlando Stadium.

    JUSTICE 4 BAKKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
