11 – GBS don’t agree with you on Kanko there. He does not deserve to be in the worst team. Also he was never offside when Brumbies got that penalty.

    #30
or was it perhaps the whole lions team? 😯

  • 33

14 – Bill like that saying. GBS = God Bless Scotland……hahaha. Good one.

  • 34

    hei puma
    how are you broetsie?

  • 35

22 – Winston, have to agree with you there. Should not be wearing the black and white Sharks jersey either.

  • 36

31@ Puma – Unfortunately in the “worst team” there are only 4 No 8’s to consider, Spies, who was Man of the Match, Duane Vermeulen who had a very strong game, Todd Clever who was about the only Lion who played hard and Kanko…

So, who goes to the worst team, if it has to be one of them??

  • 37

34 – Ashie, Well my little boeta.. How you after your Stormers done you proud. Jeepers they play fantastic. Really good to see that.

  • 38

36 – Did anyone come on as a replacement 😉 Maybe has to go to that player.

    Don’t think any did.

Players are hurting GBS. Let us concentrate more on the good here.

BULLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AND STORMERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Players. Both teams and players in their teams are playing awesome.

Hey, so proud of these two teams sitting 1st and 2nd.

  • 39

    puma @ 37
just a little more confident in the team … must say, we’re playing our nemises this weekend … so if we can beat the cheetahs this weekend, well who knows? 😉

  • 40

    gbs @ 36
    btw
werent you a bit biased when you selected WO for your team of the week?
his defence was a bit poor, wasnt it?

  • 41

40@ Asbak – No, I thought he defended well and he scored a try and I think he shades Juan de Jongh in all facets of play… so I would go for Wynand, but Juan was good, he should just stop the “Stampkar-rugby” and try to go past players in stead of over or under… and old Doppies of the Lions tried hard the whole day.

  • 42

    Allo Allo…Proooooovince…

  • 43

    gbs @ 41
    jaaaaaaaaaa maybe
    but then
one would expect a player of de jongh’s build to prefer running into gaps, but he’s taking the bigger guys on at their own game
    must say i loooooooooooooooooooove it.
dont get me wrong, i’d prefer him running into the gaps
    but
being a kortgat myself, i looooooooooove him for doing this … maybe i just see it as kind of a revenge for all the times i bekakked myself when those big bastards ran into me!! 😆

  • 44

#43 De Jongh’s got loads of talent. He must just learn to offload the ball at the correct time. He splits the defence then can’t decide what to do next. Once he has learned that skill…he will be devastating!…He’s got JF next to him and if he can find him or one of those wings after his breaks!..KoebaaiMeraai!

  • 45

39 – Ash, Cheetahs are the Sharks bogey team not the Stormers. Also they without Brussow.

    Stormers by 10.

  • 46

44 – Polla De Jongh is a very exciting player. Good to see these players coming throught.

JdV???? Not sure if he will ever get his position back. Not after De Jongh has had a season there.

  • 47

    46 – meant through

  • 48

    puma @ 45
theyve won against enough over the last few years for me to consider them a bit of a bogey, bru
and they’ve done it quite often at newlands!!

  • 49

Ricky J was voted the ‘Canes Man-of-the-Match afterwards….He got free booze from them too!…

  • 50

    43 – Ash, last paragraph 😆

  • 51

48 – Ash, maybe they everyones bogey team. Would have been more so if Brussow was there. Don’t see them beating Stormers without Brussow.

  • 52

#46..He’s still a long way off JdV’s class Puma..He can learn a lot from him. Remember he still played Varsity Cup last year and now he is in his 1st Super 14!… It’s only his distributions skills that is still not up to standard..but other than that he can play a very long time at the top level. His time will come and I predict that he will take over the No 12 Jersey at Bok level and carry it for at least 50 tests….

52 – Polla, never mind how young he is he has talent galore. He will learn more in this S14 season than ever before. JdV wont get that position back unless he comes back now. Others will be far better than JdV. WO too is having a season of his life so far, playing the best rugby he has ever played.

  • 56

    polla @ 52
well, thats a HUGE compliment for the guy puma
    but
as it go at int level, theres always new talent coming through
    and
yes, he need to work on his distribution skills
    and
need to do so fast as its gonna take him longer to unlearn this bad habit of not passing!!

  • 57

54@ The Saint – Flok, jy moet ook ALTYD heeltemal anners wees….. hehehehe

  • 58

    Saint

So am I to take it that you don’t consider the Lions to be losers in totality?

  • 59

Best try of the tourney so far? Come on everyone it has to be only one.

Van Den Heever this past weekend. That was something else. Just superb.
