Sharks sign English international

The sharks website have confirmed the addition of 2 players to the Sharks fold.

 

Besides the loan agreement with the Bulls union for the services of Lock Forward Wilhelm Steenkamp for the duration of the Super14, they have also secured the services of England international Flyhalf Andy Goode.

Andy Goode rose to prominence with the Leicester Tigers, having made his debut for the club in 1998 he briefly joined Saracens and rejoined Leicester where he played when he won his first England cap in the 2005 Six Nations.

He signed for CA Brive in 2008 and has excelled in the French Top 14, being the highest points scorer in the 2008-09 league season.

Goode brings 17 caps for England and a wealth of experience the squad, something which may be needed on this most gruelling of tours.One can only wish him the best and hope he enjoys his stint at the sharks.

    You should have tried to get Derrick Hougaart, he knows how to win a game , remember 2007.
    I hate these players from outside. Cant they find a local guy.

    Why these outlanders 😆 , this cant help your local talent, bull-dust, Monty must feel like a orphan by now. Give the poor guy a gap. Every tom dick and harry is bought , and no faith is shown in the local youngsters.

    LOOK AS I SEE IT ITS MORE ABOUT GETTING SOME DEPTH WHILST WE HAVE THE INJURY ISSUES

    he ony AT sharks for a short period and with the sharks better youngsters either injured or having retired lol i guess they didnt have to much options

    Andy Goode was an average England International at best, let’s hope he is of real worth at the Sharks!

    Didn’t realise he was a Cov’ boy.

    See he went to King Henry VIII Grammer school, so that explains the pedigree.

    Coventry Rugby Club might be in the doldrums, but the area still produces a lot of high quality players.
