Only minor changes to the Wallaby team to take on Scotland on the weekend.

Man of the match David Pocock gets a week off following his performamnce against the Irish and will watch the match from the stands. He is replaced by the old war horse George Smith. Richard Brown moves onto the bench. In the only other change it appears Matt Dunning ate ALL the oranges at halftime and as punishment he gets dropped for Sekope Kepu. Grand slam is out the door but still a lot to play for.

Australia:

Adam Ashley-Cooper, Peter Hynes, Digby Ioane, Quade Cooper, Drew Mitchell, Matt Giteau, Will Genia, Wycliff Palu, George Smith, Rocky Elsom (capt), Mark Chisholm, James Horwill, Ben Alexander, Stephen Moore, Benn Robinson.

Replacements: Tatafu Polota-Nau, Sekope Kepu , Dean Mumm, Richard Brown, Luke Burgess, Ryan Cross, James O’Connor.

Graham Henry on the other hand made some major changes to his starting team against England.

The team for Saturday features 13 changes to the one that beat Italy 20-6 last weekend, and contains only half the lineup that won 19-12 at Wales the week before!

Ben Smith drops out of the squad entirely and is replaced on the right wing by 20-year-old Zac Guildford, who made his debut against Wales two weeks ago. Mils Muliaina returns at fullback, with Conrad Smith and Ma’a Nonu the centers.

The only New Zealand forward to play consecutive weekends will be lock Tom Donnelly, who makes his fifth second-row appearance alongside veteran Brad Thorn. Tighthead prop Owen Franks will play alongside hooker Andrew Hore and openside Tony Woodcock, who will be playing his 60th Test.

Henry has yet to decide whether Corey Flynn or Aled de Malmanche will be on the bench as replacement hooker. Aled de Malmanche broke off his vacation Wednesday to join the squad as cover for Flynn, who has a hamstring strain.

New Zealand:

Mils Muliaina, Zac Guildford, Conrad Smith, Ma’a Nonu, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Dan Carter, Jimmy Cowan; Tony Woodcock, Andrew Hore, Owen Franks, Brad Thorn, Tom Donnelly, Adam Thomson, Richie McCaw, Kieran Read.

Replacements: Corey Flynn or Aled de Malmanche, John Afoa, Anthony Boric, Jerome Kaino, Andy Ellis, Stephen Donald, Tamati Ellison.

The Ozzmob seems to have settled on their players to take them forward, their exact squad of 22…. they will be a handful come World Cup time!

Fascinating. Robbie Deans’ record isn’t that flash as coach of the Wallabies. However, if this young squad, plus a couple of additions, was to get up and win the 2011 WC, then all will be forgiven – big time, and he’ll be seen as the doyen of coaching.
