Depending on who you support this coming week the possible results is being thrown around wildly since yesterday.

Most Province and Bulls supporters reckon that the Cheetahs can do the job against the Sharks. It’ makes perfect sense that they believe this, as this result will give both those teams a home final should they get there. And some may even argue that the Sharks in Durban could be a tough final, and therefore the fear of facing the Sharks in Durban make them see a Cheetahs win as a real possibility.

The Sharks supporters on the other hand would like to see WP prevail against the Bulls this weekend. WP might be the most improved team this year, and they did beat the Sharks home and away this year, butt they don’t look as daunting as a star studded Bulls outfit. And call it fear or respect; the Sharks have played enough finals against the bulls lately to know that this Bulls team takes some beating in a final.

So who would the Cheetahs like to play in a final? I’m not really sure about this one. I think they would back themselves more against WP than the Bulls, although some Cheetahs might argue otherwise. The cheetahs have had some nail biters against the Bulls in the last few years, and they might see themselves lifting the cup in Pretoria as they did a few years ago.

This week the talk will be big, and the attitudes even bigger, but hey, this is the Currie Cup, probably the most Provincial orientated rugby competition in the world. This competition has broken some of the strongest friendships in South Africa, and it will test a few more this week.

So let us support our teams with dignity this week, and may the two best provincial sides in South Africa contest the final of another awesome Currie Cup in three weeks time.

Reds and Cheetahs are the Sharks bogey teams. Sharks have lost 67% of their games against the Reds.

So, in alle eerlikheid, ek verwag ‘n Durban final.

this weekend is going to be a big lottery…..and tough as hell to call. past results count for bodderall and im hoping that the loss to lions was a big wake up for wp. but anyway….i hope all games are played in the right spirit( no teeth marks) and are exciting to watch.

Weet iemand waar mens ‘n fototjie in die hande kan kry oor Louw se bytmerk??

The Freestate can beat both WP and the Bulls, so we don’t mind who we play against.

Having said that It would be nice to win a final at Newlands!

Going to be some great rugby this weekend. Hoping for a Sharks/Bulls final but it could really go anyway. WP could win so could Cheetahs.

So may the best two teams win and face each other in the final.

Good Luck to my team. Go Sharks.

Just what I wanted if WP wants to win the CC they will have to beat a very good Bulls team may it be in the semis or in the final – as a loyal WP supporter I know that this will not be easy for WP and they are probably the underdogs going into the game but I believe the loss against the Lions may have been the weak-up call the boys from the Cape needed to enable them to be more focus. On the other side the Bulls have not really been tested the last 2-3 weeks and have almost been involved in practice matches with the weaker teams – the question that needs to be asked is that will the Bulls underestimate WP and be overconfident – if this is the case they will make a big mistake. I cannot wait for Saturday as I know that WP does stand a real chance of upsetting the Bulls.

So stukkie uit Jan Oberholtzer se website.

    @grootblousmile

Superbul, jy maak ‘n baie goeie punt.
