Question marks about the injury situation of quite a few players are raised in the 4 Teams to compete in he semi’s, with the Bulls and Cheetahs least affected.

WP:

It is doubtful that Chavanga or Sireli Nakalevuki will be ready. In addition it is not expected that Schalk Burger will take part in Saturday’s game.

Sharks:

Bismarck du Plessis will most probably miss the clash due to the rig cartlidge injury he sustained whilst scoring his try against Griquas. There is also some doubt over the fittness over Beast. These two injuries might hamper the Sharks against a very strong-scrumming Cheetahs pack.

Cheetahs:

The only real concern is the injury to Juan Smith, who will definately not play on Saturday, but the Cheetahs have awesome loosies nevertheless.

Bulls:

Both Pierre Spies and Bryan Habana will be ready to play and the only player about whom doubt exists is Chilliboy Ralapele. The Bulls should also be somewhat fresher than WP after WP’s extremely hard game this past weekend against the Lions.

@Ashley – Shame Asbakkie, ons is soooooo bly vir jou, wanneer laas was daar ‘n semi finaal op nuweland gewees? dit moet moerse exciting wees

I’m pleased, ’cause I thought your comment above, although very sarcastic, was right on the money…and quite witty actually!

I think it depends on one’s priorities and these can change over time, bdb.

I’ve found that the older I get, the less importance I attach to my team winning whatever game or trophy is up for grabs. After all, the same game or trophy will be played for again next year.

On some Saturdays my beer is going to taste better ’cause my team has won and on other Saturdays it will just taste like a beer ’cause my team has lost.

The word ‘fan’ stems from fanatic and somehow I never was fanatical about any team even when I was younger.

I think that many fans’ self worth or self image is tied to the performance of their team and as such take the performance of their team very, very personally. For these fans objectivity is a swear word.

    What do you scheme?

    #SAB

    Thanks SAB.

Having said all that, my heart lies with the Hoops even though my head says it will be “Oops!” instead of Hoops come Saturday eve!

:clown:

I’m not superstitious, so what could this stormy weather mean?

Don’t worry about the grappies – I’m all for that. In fact, everything about WP over the last couple of seasons has been a bit of a grappie if you ask me!

And like a good Sauvignon Blanc from my valley here, I’m well chilled.

    #37 & 38 SAB and Loosehead

    Hehe, nice one Loosehead!

Ja, we left Witsand at the mouth of the Breede yesterday and it rained all the way home. I’m very happy about that ’cause places like Heidelberg and Robertson can really do with the rain.
Of course, the dogs were really happy to see us when we got back home what with all the thunder and lightning around.

But, you reckon its a sign that the Bulls :cow2: might be out of their…er, depth come Saturday, SAB? Gee, I dunno broer, ’cause those ous can really scrum….

39@fender – nou ja, saterdag op Nuweland het die WP ‘n kans om te sê “alle grappies op ‘n stokkie” (as jy die afrikaanse gesegde ken?).
