Springbok coach Peter de Villiers made two changes, including naming Ruan Pienaar at fullback, to tackle the Wallabies in Saturday’s Mandela Trophy/Tri-Nations Test in Perth.
As expected Pienaar moves from the bench, where he started the previous Test against Australia at Newlands on August 8, to fullback in the place of Frans Steyn, who is amongst the replacements.
The other change sees Schalk Burger returning to the bench in the place of Danie Rossouw, who is recovering from an injury.
Scrumhalf Fourie du Preez will earn his 50th Test cap for South Africa on Saturday.

@Supa – Thanks. Thats one hell of a pity. Still it could have sent out the wrong message I suppose. Deon Stegamn has been scavenging pretty well for us. ( Still do not know how he gets a black eye after every game). The problem is that if Stegman is injured the Bulls do not have a another fetcher replacement – Currently his replacement would be Pedrie. Lot of good qualities Pedrie – but as far from a fetcher as you could possibly get.

Pietse. Jaques Burger has done quite well in the CC. He not a on form Stegmann, but he’s real test will come in the s14. I cant see Stegmann and Brussouw in the same team, they wil both want to start every game! Remebeber Potgieter played in Stegmann’s place in the s14 at 6. But I see him more a number 7 or 8
