Some folk here have been expressing similar views to yours, interesting that TMO didn’t have anything to say about it or did he as they have been reviewing so many things during this World Cup. It’s incidents like these that give people perceptions of conspiracies. I had only seen a still photo so thanks for posting the video. Approve The only thing is some rumour/question as to what Pape was doing when his hand was behind O’Brien, thought the last angle of the video would have answered that but it doesn’t as the video seems to jump ahead then.

Sean O’Brien has previous history of foul play against French opponents:

I’m not 100%sure on this, but I think the Youtube Clip could be amateur footage filmed by a Match attendee.
And also me thinks, if O’Brien hasn’t been Cited yet …………………………then he won’t be cited at all………………Citings must occur within a relatively short time frame after the Match.

    Brian O’Driscoll all over again.

Anyway………………………….is anyone in doubt that The Froggie didn’t sow the seed that eventually led to this?

    💡

    @ Bullscot:

I think NZChina was questioning this assertion by macro………………………………….”but had Ireland been playing the All Blacks there would be no doubt that O’Brien would already have been cited.

Like ………………………….if the Bog Leaper had punched an All Black,
the RWC Citing Committee, lead by their Tea Lady,
would have had him dragged out onto the street and stoned to death with 17 minutes of the Match ending.
Or within 21 minutes of him being subbed.
Because the Whole RWC is geared to helping the All Blacks win. England’s exit was no doubt part of that conspiracy as well.

    @ Bullscot:
Looked worse than it actually was.
Froggie (can you see the trend here) holds Celtic Warrior back illegally, and Celtic Warrior attempts to fend him off…………………..with a vigorous arm action.

Obviously a critical time in the match…………………..adrenalin pumping for both forward packs.

    Swift justice.

I do hope I was reading your sentiments correctly NZC.

Would be a thoroughly deserved suspension IMO.

one match would be fine for me
    unfortunatly
kicking an opponent is at least 4 weeks
    isn’t it

    BTW
    is he off side ?
    both are ?

too bad because he had a really great great game

I believe he will not be cited
as we (French) are now clearly Tier2
    we will see

it is an ITV source (published just after half time on the guardian site at least)
and the citing commissioner can have access to all cameras

I doubt France will not ask for a citation (they have 12h to do so)
especially because of the papé incident last year
that is what saint andré said yesterday and again today

  • 220

that will not save the vacuity of our (lost) rugby
    anyway

but irish have been cleared too many times (by their own federation mainly, or european champion’s cup)
    and suspicion is now everywhere
    bad for rugby
    anyhow

  • 221

    @ rebop75:
Thank you for clarifying that rebop.

  • 222

    @ rebop75:
    France are not tier 2,
    Have never been Tier two.

But they know how too bring a tear or two to some others.

    😈

    @ cane:
If Rebo refers to France as tier 2 then what should we say and where should we rank our team?

We have actually got knocked over by a genuine bona fide tier 2 team in Japan.

Guess we are top dogs of the tier 3 countries

  • 224

I see according to latest weekly ratings that Wales are 4 and the Boks 5, so if the rankings are an accurate tool then the AB’s will win, Aus will win, Wales will win and Ireland will win.

That will mean the teams ranked 1-4 should go through

    @ cane:

You were mate, although RT is much better than the last place not so many nutters.

  • 226

    @ nortie:

Ab’s & Aus will win, the other two are 50/50 games.

Ha ha, crossed with a miniature Doberman pincher

  • 230

What a game. I will be ecstatic if Ireland can go all the way.

    NZ 1 v France 7 = NZ
Aus 2 v Scots 9 = Aus (easiest game of the QF)
    Ireland 3 v Arg 6 = Ireland (debatable)
    Wales 4 v SA 5 = Wales (debatable)

I’m leaning towards all 4 SH teams making it to the semi, but I suppose France and Wales can pull off a surprise win, and if Ireland win it won’t be considered a surprise

    Leave Bakkies alone

  • 233

    @ nortie:

If Wales beat the Bokke on this seasons current form would it be that much of a surprise, I expect the Bokke to win but they blow so hot and cold…

  • 234

    233 @ NZINCHINA:
If wales had their full strenght team and squad, I can’t disagree that on 2015 form it would be expected of them to beat us. They did it last year, and only lost by 1 point in SA in 2015 as well.

But with the run of injuries they have been having, I think SA are in a better spot, also we didn’t have to face England and Australia on consecutive weekends.

  • 235

    234 @ nortie:
    SA in 2014 not 2015

  • 236

    @ nortie:

Sure, the Bokke should win 😉

    We can not win
    unless ABs commit mass suicide
or an earthquake opens their half of the field

we can only break one or two bones
that is apparently all our team is able to do

Best for us would be to sleep on the first ball we get
as we can not make more than two passes

  • 238

    237 @ rebop75:
I would tend to agree with you, but then again I thought the same thing in 1999 and 2007.

The most difficult game for me to pick is the Ireland v Argentina
