Sharks will be up for this game…..the usually travel well, and with all the flak they have been getting after their performances in SA, I’m sure they will be very happy playing thousands of miles away.

Highlander’s at home, with their returning 3 All Black stars should maybe be just that little bit better.

On a side note…..The flight back from Durban yesterday had Campo and Fransie on board.

Campo says Waratahs to beat the Brumbies (but he is biased and picked with his heart)

Frans Steyn…..well, I won’t be calling him Fatty Steyn again, no fat on the guy at all. And so polite….Oom voor en Oom agter.

He is only flying out to NZ now, so it’s a tough one for him to join the starting team against a team like the Hurricanes after missing out on 5 weeks

    Hullo Oom Nortie 😯

  • 4

I might stick around here for the first half. Then I’m off to take a walk on an island to build up an appetite for a keenly awaited seafood dinner on same. There are only 5 restaurants from which to choose but all do the seekos. Even spotted SA perlemoen there once. But is was called Abalone of course. Lamma island reminds me a lot of Cape Point Nature Reserve if you broaden the mind a little. Damn I miss every single game this weekend. Don’t broadcast the S15 over here that I’m aware of.

I sincerely hope Fransie does a turn-around and reveals the talents we all know he has coupled to playing his rugby with a smile and not a scowl on his face. He always looks and unhappy, angry and pressured young man on the field.

    @ Tassies:
    Hoesit Tassies 😆
    Wie’s jou f…..n Oom

  • 7

@ nortie: Did you look him in the eye Nortie? Or were your eyes on a line with his chest. The kid’s not exactly a midget.

  • 8

    @ nortie: F….ie’s 😆

  • 9

    7 @ Tassies:
He isn’t small at all, quite tall.

  • 10

I agree with the wise man from Pretoria, of meer spesifiek, Centurion. The Sharks are no longer going to be the pushover they displayed in the first half of the comp. Biz back in a new positive frame. Fransie back fresh for the 2nd game and the team with everything to prove. They have the talent for sure. Just need to put it together. I also have a high regard for Gold. He does know what he’s doing. Just needs to get in a groove then we’ll see. All this coming from a Capie. Jinne tog?

without checking…….6ft 6 maybe or thereabouts? Could be a lock.

  • 12

    5 mins to kick-off. Am I right?

  • 13

    @ Tassies:
Hi Tassies one of your posts yesterday left me wondering why do you need a chaperone?

  • 14

    GO SHARKS!

  • 15

I can spot one disaster though. Matt Stephens on the bench, were I a Sharks supporter, would not leave me with a great deal of confidence. He’s been smashed so far, in the games I’ve watch this year.

Because he is a troublemaker, a hooligan of note…..and still on probation for all the shit he caused last time there 😆

    @ Tassies:
Stephens is to the Shark supporters what Greyling is to the Bull supporters.

Shark’s forwards should get parity, or even better the Landers, but it’s chalk and cheese in the back lines

Enjoy the island, Tassies. I’m walking over to the Haga Haga hotel to catch the game. Just enjoyed breakfast on the sea facing stoep while a pod of dolphins were riding the surf.

Ja Oom, you should’ve just goose stepped past the plonker!

Bob Dwyer had it right when he said about Campo: “There’s a loose wire from his brain to his mouth”.

    Approve

@ Bullscot: I was in China. Whilst I’m okay with that, you need someone to ‘hold you hand’ if you want to make reasonable progress. If you take a cab(for example) you WILL go the scenic route and there is squat you can do about it. A USD5 ride quickly develops into a USD20 one.

  • 21

    @ nortie: I’ve grown up I promise. 😉

  • 22

    Players out on the field.

  • 23

    19 @ BrumbiesBoy:
Ja boet….I did actually change my pick from Brumbies to Waratahs….I hope for his sake that Campo is right.

Difficult game to pick that one

  • 24

    Game ON!

    Kick-Off by the Highlanders!

Then why is your photo still up in interpol’s top 10 list 😉

  • 26

@ nortie: that’s well put. That Landers backline is a potent beast. You could make that lot the AB backline and lose nothing to the real thing.

  • 27

@ BrumbiesBoy: ja but he’s a character and that’s what you want. Otherwise we’d all die of boredom.

  • 28

    Try Landers, Gareth Evans!

  • 29

That didn’t take long….good build up, but jeez, so many first time tackles missed from the Sharks

  • 30

    Morning sports fans!

    GO Sharks?
