    Cheers guys have to go

  • 392

389…but those were only 3 penalties out of what felt like 15 odd scrum penalties yesterday

True that….but maybe AC does have a point….19 penalties against and the only yellow was for a tip tackle that was seen as an isolated event…..and it happened right in front of Berry and he didn’t call it in real time, the decision was made only long after

Could also have been a case where Berry saw it, but when Schalk was fine he choose to play the advantage… which is good refereeing in my book.

Schalk was fine after he saw his “Hollywood” wasn’t garnering a penalty.

Second week in a row that he was throwing his hands up in the air to get a penalty….I’m not saying a penalty wasn’t warranted, I’m just not impressed when players throw tantrums on the field to get peanalties, doesn’t matter who they are….and I include Kolbe in that bracket 😆

    @ nortie:
lol no sport in the world would be any different, when a player feels wronged, they will prety much all throw their hands in the air and scream “come on ref/umpire!”

I don’t think that will ever go away.

A reminder: about 94%of the Stormers’ SR victories came under SARU referees

Where do you get this stats from?
    Probably from your thumb…
In any event it is a useless figure unless you also “reveal” the percentages for all the other SA teams.

Jeez….no one even offered to help the poor guy….he did quite well fighting off a couple of people at the same time

“A Stormers game at home under a SARU referee is something I haven’t watched for 5 years already”

“A reminder: about 94%of the Stormers’ SR victories came under SARU referees”

“Referees follow instructions of their employers,…”

“Yesterday a Stormers’ victory was a MUST to ensure a 1st round bye and a home ground advantage for the Stormers!”

Hondo and his refereeing conspiracy theories again! Pondering Tired

“A loss yesterday would have been a disaster for the Stormers’ campain!”

    Not really true.
Three home games still to come, while their closest Conference rival is on their way overseas to play 4 games away from home, suggest that you are wrong.

It is amazing how well that guy kept on his feet! I watched it a few times and I cant make sense of it, I dont really watch soccer, but it appeared as if he gave the white team the free kick?

  • 402

    19-5?

    Wow!

  • 403

I’m gobsmacked by the fact that we only lost by one point,..

  • 404

    @ MacroBull:

Maybe they expected more than just a free kick?

He did very well to escape unharmed. Showed good athletism for such a heavily build man especially in the way he dived over the building or wall right at the end 🙂

I keep a spread sheet to assist me in making predictions although I haven’t bother with a wager on SR game for 2 seasons now
you can do it yourself starting with the 2012 season

It seems to be in some minor league in South America.

When still a kid I once saw a forward playing in the SWD first rugby league giving a linesman a slap after he indicated the player went into touch before he dotted down. The linesman then chased him across the field trying to hit him with the flag.

it was nothing in comparison to what south american football players/fans are capable of though as you saw in the clip 🙂

I usually give either an opinion or otherwise i quote from reliable sources and not from “some spreadsheet” that I keep. I was hoping you did the same but now i know 🙂

South America is an insane place, there is also almost always someone on hand to take a video with his camera.

I have to admit my curiosity is piqued, ill see what i can put together if i get time.

Well you know what they say, you get lies, damn lies and Statistics.

And apparently 76.5% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

  • 413

“They were happy, and prepared, to concede the penalties and made sure we couldn’t get quick ball from the breakdown,” Coetzee said, adding that the Brumbies stifled any attempt to attack with line-speed.

Statistically, almost half of the world’s population are below average intelligence!

  • 415

    Spreadsheet Farking lol!

The only spreadsheet hondkak knows anything about is the single-ply in his outdoor longdrop.

Aside from that good to see Toetie and Robzim having a good moan about the ref.

    19 penalties to 5?

Perhaps they can use some of hondkaks single-ply to dry each other’s legs.

    😆

Does anyone stil need to see the highlights of the Floyc vd Manny fight?

    Birds of a feather……. Whistling

  • 419

    @ gunther:

I do not have too many complaints of the ref.

Everybody knows he should have handed a yellow or two to the spoilers and the annoying little scrumhalf but at least he did penalize them which is better than nothing.

Now if we had lost I might have been less happy….

It’s a shame he lost his head 😛

He would have made a good cricket umpire

Imagine how he would motivate an Aussie batsman to walk after an lbw 🙂
