So, what do you guys think is going to happen between the Crusaders vs Lions?

I picked the Saders on Bru.

  • 14

    @ grootblousmile:
I took the ‘Saders by 19 I think, hesitating badly before klapping ‘Submit Picks’ & then got ‘n moerse skok when I saw the other picks!

  • 15

    14 @ BrumbiesBoy:
I only picked the Saders by 9.

In the Vodacom Cup, the Limpopo Blue Bulls (Far North) last year took huge, huge poundings (in a number of of games over 100 against them, if I remember correctly)… this year so far they look better, copped a 13 point loss last week against the Leopards and now tonight they are still in with a chance against the Xerox Golden Lions, having just scored… current score is:

Xerox Golden Lions 24 / 18 Limpopo Blue Bulls

61 Minutes gone in the game.

    Limpopo Blue Bulls sneak closer…

Golden Lions 24 / 21 Limpopo Blue Bulls

    11 Minutes left to play.

  • 18

    17 @ grootblousmile:
Nice to see some improvement from them. Saw the real Blue Bulls won earlier against the Leopards with what looked like a very young team.

  • 19

Golden Lions with a tighthead near the Limpopo Blue Bulls line and they score and convert.

Golden Lions 31 / 21 Limpopo Blue Bulls

Just more than 6 minutes to go.

  • 20

    18 @ Bullscot:
Yip, something like 46 / 25.. with 7 tries scored by the Blue Bulls

  • 21

Rohan Janse van Rensburg, former Blue Bulls young centre, now with the Lions… is a strong runner, good hand-off action, difficult to bring down.

  • 22

Vodacom Cup – Final Score: Xerox Golden Lions 31 / 21 Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls

Rohan Janse van Rensburg, former Blue Bulls young centre,…”

The guy that Tac, a Keo stalwart, called a “monster” at 110kg’s. I think there was a time that he rated him a better inside centre than Janneman.

He may have been right. Janneman is not THAT great.

  • 27

    26 @ Nama:
Yeah, Janneman is a lot like Damian de Allende… I suppose.

De Allende impresses at Super Rugby level… and disappears at International level.

Janneman, on the other hand does manage well to step up to International level for the Bokke…. mmmm makes you wonder, hey!

I suggest you go to bed early, your one eye is already closed… although I suppose that is a permanent conditition… being one-eyed!

  • 28

    @ BrumbiesBoy:
    Strond man!

They don’t even demand that they should play in the CC. Keep you kak jokes to yourself…or give yourself another pat on your back for making a kak comment.

  • 29

    28 @ Nama:
Was that a respectful comment, like we want on R-T?

If you answer yourself NO, which you would undoubtedly have to do, slap yourself silly for 5 minutes and remember what we do and how we act here on R-T!

Kommaan ek en jy weet altwee jy is ‘n heelwat beter ou as dit!

    @ grootblousmile:
How many games did de Allende play for the Boks at INSIDE CENTRE?

You do know that Meyer used him at OUTSIDE CENTRE where he absolutely failed. Like so many others BEFORE him that our esteemed Bok coach tried there.

You do remember JJE, Taute and even our youth prodigy, Janneman. No wonder Meyer masked his frailties as an outside centre by using him at inside centre on defence.

You can never compare De Allende with Jan. The one was a wing who became a very good inside centre. The other was a prodigy at inside centre who became a dud.
