@ 206 Praat ons saam dieselfde ding dieselfde tyd!

  • 213

Why would one play Bossie @ 10 if one is not going to go for penalty conversions? Makes no sense, eh?

  • 214

No try, as they come back for a Lions scrum on their own 5m line.

    Seconds left in the game

Die All Blacks moer ons nou al vir hoeveel jare hier bo agv beter fiksheid, so hoekom sal dieselfde NZ franchises dan kwansuis moeg word?

Amateur hour display from the Lions – especially tactically

    Well done Canes

  • 221

Final Score: Hurricanes 22 / 8 Emirates Lions

  • 222

Lions only have themselves to blame for this heap of kak!

  • 223

Varking p1ssed off with this heartless display by the Lions.

Guess I’ll have to wait and see what excuses are forthcoming from the coach.

  • 224

Okay RTs…laat ek liewer mask soos Roggoff….hierdie was net so kuk as Zuma se show gisteraand…hoop ons doen more beter.
    Gooi mielies.

Hy is mos “n kerk man”.

Better he prays for his God to be on his side next week.

    224 @ Pietman:
Well, at least 2 SA sides will win tomorrow… unless they draw… hehehe

  • 227

I’m somewhat puzzled about the expectations of this game.
The Lions have only won 3 times against the Canes, and have lost 12.
The Canes played all the All Blacks, except Nonu.
The fact that the Lions did well in the CC means nothing against quality opposition, as we shall see tomorrow at Loftus as well.

  • 228

    John Plumtree nou by Canes?

  • 229

    228 @ Pietman:
    Ja, as Assistant Coach

The Canes is not a quality team – the forwards are collectively too weak – the Lions could & should’ve beaten them quite comfortably based on the match stats

Tactics were just up to shit & some key players didn’t pitch …

  • 231

Now next week the Canes play the Bulls… hope they are a bit battered and bruised

  • 232

    230 @ Angostura:
And they left 11 points on the field from the collective boots of Boshoff and Jantjies, and the kicking from hand was abysmal.

  • 233

    @ Angostura:
Could have, should have….the Canes will end higher on the log at the end of the season, they might not win the competition, but only because they play in a much tougher Conference than our teams.
They ended stronger, played more astute, took their points, and won comfortably on the score board.
If this is what happens against poor opposition, I feel for the Lions when they come up against quality opposition

  • 234

    230 @ Angostura:
Canes backline is full of superstars and their forwards are not shabby either.

In the past they actually underperformed if considering what players they have and have had on their books.

Now Boyd is coach and Plumtree is Assistant coach… so it might be a better year for them.

I still cannot get past the fact that the Lions dominated so much in the 1st half… except on the score board…

    Naïve.

Add the 11 points from missed kicks and they would have turned well ahead, and the second half may have developed differently.

The Lions will have to improve exponentially in the next 2 weeks before they go on tour.

Blues, ‘Sader, Rebels and Reds for them on the road. Eish.

  • 236

    Goodnight all.

Gonna go wait inside for the presser.

  • 237

    235 @ Scrumdown:
After this morning, the Saders and Reds matches should be easy…. hehehe

  • 238

    236 @ Scrumdown:
Tjorts… record a Sound Clip of each Presser, please

  • 239

    238 @ grootblousmile:
If I can work out how.

I’m IT Challenged. Maybe just with the phone voice recorder?

Well, there we are saying the same things (just in different words), aren’t we?

The coaches/captain will soon lose their tactical naiveté & then the Lions will improve.

Yes, GBS – The Canes team has one of the best backlines in the competition
    but
their pack is no more than average, & has been so for as long as I can remember
& that is why they are destined to again finish mid table …
