Tickets for the game will be dirt cheap

    R40-R100

The prices for the other game is between R90-R250… which is pretty reasonable.

  • 2

Hmmm I am in Jhb next weekend

    Thinking

I hope the tickets wont be that much more.

  • 3

That loose trio should alone be enough to beat the sharks.

A lot of wind is being made about Warren Whitely and Nizaam Carr, and while I believe they are great players, my man is Jaco Kriel. That guy is a superb rugby player and would have been on everyone’s lips if he was playing for one of the “big three”

and then there is Kwagga on the bench…waiting

  • 4

If you in JHB next week go watch the game in a pub as the final will mos be at Newlands man 😉

  • 5

I also rate Kriel massively, but true to tradition he is to small and short to be a Bok..

Because the Bulls finished 4th on the log and the Lions second, the final will be at Ellis Park.

Warren and Nizaam are different types of player imo.

I think Nizaam would probaly fit better into the National side’s style of play, but I honestly believe that Warren would add more to the team in terms of his ability to keep the ball alive.

    They’re both excellent players though.

Kriel is a great player. Fast, strong and explosive. Unfortunately (for Kriel) SA has a plethora of world class loose forwards.

    @ Scrumdown:
We do, it is quite difficult, Even if Vermeulen is the stand out no8 by a distance, Schalk and Alberts would both do a good job there as well.

The debate takes a whole new shape when you consider “how they will fit in” in the national set up.

Just a shame the Kwagga is so small, he has the heart of a Lion

    8 @ MacroBlouBul:
There was debate on another website as to whether Kwagga wouldn’t be better utilised as a centre given his size.

What do you think of that suggestion?

  • 10

    @ Scrumdown:
its a blerrie tough one. Wiki lists him as 80kg and there is nowhere you can hide that except in a back three conbo.

I suspect he was sent to the blitzbokke to develop his skill set for a possible future move?

Unfortunately he will be forever assigned as an impact player… which honestly isnt really even that bad.

  • 11

    @ Scrumdown:
Could be a brilliant move. Bobo was a loose forward and became a pretty decent center. Beast was a loose forward, and became a half decent loosehead. But given his size, Kwagga will never be a top loose forward, but he does bring so much energy and innovation to the side when he comes on, and for a “small” guy, he is very hard to bring down.

    @ Lion4ever:
A Boland Coetzee look-alike, and just as gritty and energetic. He is still young, who knows.

    @ Pietman:

    @ Pietman:
Ek is bly jy kon darem bietjie kwaliteit tyd kry,

Nee dinge gaan goed hier, darem amper weer somer.

Is reg so.

    @ Pietman:
Nice maar daar is altyd nadele.

In n kompleks is n mens se buurmense mos NABY.
