The great Colin Meads
Richie McCaw will add another line to his long list of achievements on Saturday by matching Colin Meads as the most capped All Black ever.
The New Zealand captain will equal Meads’ record of 133 All Black appearances in La Plata against Argentina, in what will be his 132nd Test.
McCaw’s only non-Test appearance for the All Blacks came in 2009 when he captained the side against the Barbarians.
By contrast Meads, whose New Zealand career lasted 14 years from 1957-71, earned just 55 caps for his country, but featured a further 78 times for New Zealand.

And speaking to 3 News, Meads revealed that he believes McCaw would have been just as successful if he had come along during the same era has his illustrious compatriot.
“Richie’s such a natural, keeps himself in great shape,” Meads said.
“No matter when he played he would have made a great player, our era or the modern era, it’s just he wouldn’t be as wealthy as he is now.
“We had the long tours and they were marvelous.
“We’d go away and play 36 matches, we had a lot of those games and that’s how the numbers crept up.”

Will be interesting to see if he will be the first man to play 150 tests.
He has potentially 7 left this year (I think so, may be wrong, but the Argies, then Bokke, Aussies, USA, and 3 more in the EoYT)
Next year he has 3 in a shortened RC, which will leave him 8 short (not counting the tour game)
WC will have 4 pool games, so he will end on 150 matches and 149 tests if the AB’s make the final and he plays every game from this weekend to the end of the WC.
This is if my calculations are correct.
