Crikey, just flicking through the channels on West African dstv and can’t see the games….hmmmm it is a bit early. Buggered if I know where to find the overall programming.

@ MacroBok: Well it is the genre mate. Saffers love to kick a guy when he is down, but I like Heyneke from day one. He did a great job at Leicester and has an excellent rugby brain. Game plan is an issue though. Unfortunately it needs to be changed at schools and lower levels first.

Watch out for that bugger called Ebola mate… Causing havoc. I’m taking a group of kids to Namibia next month and we have received an Ebola warning… West Africa, yet our neighbours

    @ 4man:
Yep there is a wider problem across the board that needs to be corrected, but there is not much to complain about, only 1 bull in the team, 3 players under 22 in the run on team, 3 more players on the bench.

Hells bells, who is watching these ITM highlihgts? that try from Southland was INSANE.

  • 36

As much as I think that Aus are probably stronger than last year, the AB’s will still out muscle them going into the final 10 minutes.

  • 37

@ Gumboots: Thanks mate…Ja we are on the up on what to do and how to manage it. The Nigerian authorities are panicking. Hospitals are hopelessly underequipped.

Long time boet! You looking forward to the rugby today? I’m at work till 5pm again… Life sucks, so will rely on RT to keep me posted…

    @ Gumboots:

I’m well thanks. Said to Norts a couple of days ago that we’re overdue for a beer. Let’s aim for 30 Aug at Loftus for the Bulls v WP clash and go for a couple of scoops before the game.

Good morning everybody, today we can say the serious rugby for 2014 starts.
Pops, have a great time at the match, and please take photos, will gladly repost.
Peyper should have an ok game, he is not a bad ref when he has no vested interest and his Sharks aren’t playing and he isn’t in Durban, so Hondo, you can relax

@ MacroBok: A work in progress. We might just be ready for the next world cup. Kiwi’s will need to re-boot soon. Richie is getting madala now and quite a few of the other players too. Aussies are re-surgent as I said earlier. They truly amaze me with the small pool that they have, yet the continue to perform well. At their best they are nigh on unbeatable.

    Yep, long overdue.
Gena mentioned the game against Aus in SA, we can look out for that date, and even earlier with a nice CC game as well

Oz to take this one… You read it first here…

I also thought that very possible, but they suffered some bad injuries in the front row and at hooker, and Beale at 10 instead of Foley tipped me over to the AB’s

Going to be really tough, but I’m hoping for our sakes… If they intend beating AB’s it has to be today…

  • 46

Canterbury smashed Auckland 48-9, so Pops and TR already have one bad result against them, will the Aussies make it 2/2?

  • 47

    @ 4man:
Yep, we are going to peak, 2016-2019, for an extended period, not here and there uppers and downers under our last two coaches.

Yep, if not today, then I’m also not sure when

    @ bdb:
WP U/19 klop die Bulle met 16-11.

The DHL WP Under-19s led by 6-3 at half-time and they stretched that advantage to 16-3 by the time the final ten minutes got underway in Cape Town.
DHL WP’s only try was scored by always-impressive inside centre Daniel du Plessis, a brilliant chip and chase effort after good work from captain Rikus Bothma and wing Grant Hermanus, whilst Ernst Stapelberg did not miss a kick at goal.
A late Bulls try, by wing Duhan van der Merwe, got the score a bit closer for the visitors but the hosts were clinical enough on the day to retain their status as the only unbeaten team in the competition.
Province saw both their wings, Dewald Naude (first half) and Grant Hermanus (second half), spend some time in the sin bin but they managed to survive both times through their dogged defence.
After five games, one away from the halfway stage of the 2014 Absa Provincial Under-19 competition, the Province Under-19s now lead the log with 23 points – seven ahead of the Bulls and Free State (in second and third place, respectively).
    The scorers:
    For DHL Western Province Under-19:
    Try: Du Plessis
    Con: Stapelberg
    Pens: Stapelberg 3
    For Blue Bulls Under-19:
    Try: Van der Merwe
    Pens: Human, Bolze
