France on attack again… wait for the All Blacks professional foul….

  • 62

    There it is… advantage offside

  • 63

Knock by Parra… but they come back for the penalty against Mealamu

  • 64

Geez, but the ABs defense is outstanding.

  • 65

French play the rugby everyone wants them to play. Light touches, quick hands with lots of speed onto he ball. Wonderful what difference a flyhalf that take the line on makes.

We need Goossen back in the boks set-up. Is he on tour?

  • 66

Fark, Parra misses a relative sitter

  • 67

    Aggenee man, Parra jou marra!

    65 @ McLook:
Goosen is on tour, but he’s had 40 minutes of Currie Cup rugby… and looked terribly undercooked, man!

  • 69

Love it when the French play like this, may they continue.

    @ McLook:Thanks.

    No, European Commentators, here

I wouldn’t say diabolical. He did struggle with vision and decision making. Pace of the game a bit quicker than CC rugby.

  • 71

@ McLook:No, I have the Sky UK commentary

Sorry this was my response on your Lambie remark.

    70 @ McLook:
Lambie was isolated twice, turned over, kicked 2 woeful misdirected cross-kicks which put the Bokke under immense pressure, falling back he fumbled, he kicked like shit to posts and from 2 woeful drop goals…

Tactically he used the wrong options, distribution was nowhere…

Bokke lost ALL attacking impetus when he replaced Morné Steyn at flyhalf.

    No, he was diabolically shit….

Justin Marshall is good but the other ‘poephol’ commentating is so AB orientated one chrinch every item he says something. Marshall reckons the new French flyhalf is making all the difference in terms of how the play.

Will be interesting to see how the AB approach the second half.

Rare to see a whole half with no AB try.

You are hard on him. He had almost no international game time this year. Was mentally not ready to play flyhalf and made wrong decisions because he was not used to te faster pace of the international game.

75 @ McLook:It’s always better to have unbiased commentators when neither of your teams are playing. Makes for impartiality, and generally a better commentary, as they do not permanently have one eye on their own team.

  • 80

    77 @ McLook:
Then, if he was not good enough… then he should not have played for the Bokke… he plays flyhalf for the Sharks in Super Rugby, Currie Cup… and the warning signs were there already as far as his kicking is concerned.

Can’t make excuses for a guy at National level… there you have to perform up to standard.

    France 12 / 9 All Blacks

  • 82

The springbok French match is going to be a thriller.

  • 83

    15. Pat Lambie – 5
Played the last 60 minutes at flyhalf. Was adequate at best.

    14. JP Pietersen – 6
Replaced on 70 minutes. Solid but the ball never went his way.

    13. Jaque Fourie – 7
Outstanding on defence and his offload to Fourie du Preez won South Africa the Test.

    12. Jean de Villiers – 7
Excellent leadership. Rounded off a good try and was inspirational, as he has been all season.

    11. Bryan Habana – 7
Strong with the ball in hand. Good all-round effort.

    10. Morné Steyn – No rating
He left the field before the 20th minute because of injury.

    9. Fourie du Preez – 7
Man of the Match but such was the Boks’ indifferent performance that the best performer was a seven from 10.

    Dan Carter at goal… penalty

Not making exuses for him. Morne Steyn again missed two tackles that almost resulted in tries. We have a problem at 10 and Steyn is at best adequate/steady. Lambie gets very little game time and the expectation is that he needs to spark something.

  • 90

I am just not so convinced by Lambie any longer, yes, he is a prodigious talent, and at Super Rugby level, has been fantastic, but hasn’t made that step up. Unfortunately you have to be at the top of your game, no matter what, and must be able to make the step up. If it was his first game at international level, I would agree, but he has been getting some game time to keep complete rustiness at bay. I just think he will always be an impact player.

Good try by AB’s, by the way
