    GO SHARKSSSSSSSSSSS

Just have to wonder who is the bright spark that schedule the fixture times for this season? Why the heck are we playing a game at 5pm? We struggle to fill our stadium now we schedule this game at 5pm when most or only leaving the office to head off home. Also it is in peak traffic that time KP is in a heavy traffic area. Idiots who schedule this kick off time. So if they want to go to the game it will have already started and they will surely miss the first half. Most Shark supporters like to set up their braais on the back fields before they even get into the stadium. There certainly will be no time for that. This is not the way to attract supporters to the game.

The game should have been scheduled for 3pm tomorrow afternoon.

This is a must win. I feel Lions might take it. I really hope not. I have Sharks by 3.

    GO MY SHARKIES!

    2 @ Puma:
Remember, the Double Header at Soccer City, Bafana Bafana playing against Burkino Faso before the Springbok match, so that would have doubled over a 15:00 kick-off tomorrow… and my friend, it’s all about TV audiences…

Not ideal to have the game today at 17:05, but better than having it tomorrow…. Sunday would even have been better.

    3 @ grootblousmile:
I know about the double header tomorrow. Though Bafana start at 1pm so a 3pm start for Sharks/Lions tomorrow would have been fine. Or are they going to be showing all the live festivities there? Will dstv be tuned in from 1pm until the Bok game? Then I suppose they would not want viewers to be looking on another channel.

Sunday would have been even better, the only downfall would be a short turnaround for next week. Still it would have attracted plenty supporters if it was a 3pm kick off time. Now with a 5pm kick off time I doubt we will have even 5000 there tonight. Most are only leaving work at that time and go straight into peak hour traffic. Who wants to go and watch a game when it has started and you miss the first half? Crack pots that decided that kick off time. They want to attract more to the game and that surely is not the way to do it.

    4 @ Puma:
I see SuperSport coverage starts from Soccer City at 10:25 already with the SA Legends vs Italy Legends, then The Bafana Bafana match from 13:00 (kick off is probably at 14:00 I suppose) and it runs till 16:00 when the preview of the Springbok / Pumas match starts…. and then of course the WP / Cheetahs match from Newlands which starts just after the Test.

So it’s basically a whole Day special on SuperSport for the occasion.

Of course we will have the Wallabies / All Blacks clash also, game starting at 12:05 SA Time.

So, while I agree with you that this afternoon late is not ideal, it is understandable why it is played this afternoon late. Puts my nose out of joint a bit too, to be honest, because now I won’t be able to handle and see the match myself… because I would be on my way to Loftus for the Blue Bulls / Griquas game.

    5 @ grootblousmile:
Okay so it is a whole day affair there at FNB. Then the Sharks/Lions game should have been scheduled for Sunday. Would have been far better. I just hope many companies understand that the Sharks are playing allow some off work early.

Can you believe that, instead of me going to this game, the preggers wife is dragging me to the Baby expo at the ICC in Durbs?!
Anyhoo. Come on Sharks, you’ve got your work cut out for you tonight.
This is a very very good Lions outfit.

    7 @ John Galt:
hahahaha. You got to do what you got to do I suppose…hahaha.

I am in a teleconference at 4pm around 4:45pm will just say bye guys and hang up.

How daft to have our game on at 5pm when some are still only leaving work? Crazy.

    @ Puma:
Yep, I suppose with the RC on in the afternoon on Saturday, the CC had to be mostly on the Friday because of viewership etc.
Still sux though, would have def been at the game had it been at 7pm.

    @ Puma:
A Sunday game in South Africa? AFTER a test match? No one is going to watch.

  • 12

    11 @ MacroBull:
I am not concerned who watches the game on tv buddy. It is the supporters here that would have preferred a better time for this game. It is getting to the stadium from work at 5pm when the game has started. If this game was on Sunday at 3pm it would have been better for the Sharks so their supporters could get to the stadium before kick off time. Now most will get there after kick off or plenty will just give this one a miss going to the stadium.

No matter if there was a test the day before I can tell you all sharks supporters and lions supporters would tune into watching the game if it was on Sunday. Anyhow was mostly talking about getting to the game on time for most after work when it is a 5pm kick off. So damn daft that time to start a game.

Okay back later. Going to watch the build up and then the game. Cheers bud.
