Cheetahs1Toyota Cheetahs coach, Naka Drotskè is persisting in making only one change to his team, for the vital encounter away versus the Sharks in Durban.

Naka has opted to give the hard working Trevor Nyakane a rest, and has shifted Coenie Oosthuizen to loosehead. Many pundits are of the opinion, that this is still Coenie’s best position.

Cheetahs:

1 Coenie Oosthuizen, 2 Adriaan Strauss (Captain), 3 Lourens Adriaanse, 4 Lood de Jager, 5 Francois Uys, 6 Heinrich Brüssow, 7 Lappies Labuschagne, 8 Phillip van der Walt, 9 Piet van Zyl, 10 Burton Francis, 11 Raymond Rhule, 12 Robert Ebersohn, 13 Johann Sadie, 14 Willie le Roux, 15 Hennie Daniller.

Replacements: 16 Ryno Barnes, 17 Trevor Nyakane, 18 Ligtoring Landman, 19 Frans Viljoen, 20 Tewis de Bruyn, 21 Francois Brummer, 22 Rayno Benjamin.

Naykane has been brilliant for Cheetahs. If he is on the bench because needing a rest fine, if not then think that is a mistake. Right now think he is our best LH in our conference. Beast is tired and once he gets a rest think he will be back to his best. Hoping that is the case.

Have put my picks in for this week and next week. Leaving tomorrow for a two week holiday to Mauritius.
    So will catch up then.

Good luck to my Sharks. Think they will only announce the team tomorrow seeing so many was away in Bok training this week.

    Go Sharks!

For this week think it will go this way. Hoping for my Sharks and bru that is.

    Canes
    Chiefs
    Saders
    Reds
    Sharks
    Bulls

Cheers everyone see you all in two weeks time.

    Cheetah4eva,

Just read your comment on Sharksworld. Well let me tell you why our front row is more tired than most. NOT just because of Super Rugby pal, it is because they have hardly had any rest since last year. I am talking about Beast and Jannie. Both have played all of the Test last year as well plus Super Rugby and the monster travel we done in the end of SR last year. Then with the Boks straight after and again for the EOYT. That is why, so us getting a bye before team hardly makes a difference to those players. They are bloody tired. I think Strauss is as well. He does have Lourens and Nyakane next to him that are much fresher than he is probably because of the huge amount of rugby he has played in SR and for the Boks.

Thought I would clear that up before I leave for holiday.

Will miss this game but hope my Sharks can do it. If Cheetahs win then well done to them.

    Cheers.

Kanko dropped from the first 22? Faaark me, Jannie Doep and Frans I can understand, but Kanko?
Pity Alberts is not ready. Sharks obviously preparing for a big battle up front in the wet, hence Deysel’s inclusion.
I would have put PS du Toit on #7 for this one though…..gonna be a mofo of a game amongst the forwards on a muddy KingsPark….1995 against the French in the semis all over again!!!!
