Wallabies playmaker Kurtley Beale will face court next year on an assault charge relating to an incident involving a bouncer at a Brisbane hotel in June.

A Queensland state Justice Department spokesman on Friday confirmed the Australian rugby union player’s case would be heard on February 6.
Beale faced a preliminary court hearing in July for the incident on the morning before an Australia-Wales test match when he and teammate Quade Cooper were refused entry at the hotel in the early hours of June 8.
The Australian Rugby Union put on hold any disciplinary action against Beale until the police matter was resolved, meaning he remained available for Super Rugby and the Wallabies.
Wow, the bouncer was useless. Beale is not the biggest of men around. I know a guy who used to be a bouncer, and he told me that it does not matter how big the guy is if you know a few take down moves and submission holds. If the bouncer knew what he was doing, Beale would have been the one laying the assault charges, and he may not have played rugby again this year, because he could have walked away with a dislocated shoulder or shattered knee. All that with just one or2 quick moves
Some bouncers are just Doormen, not fighters, probably what it was.
But still, a doorman should be able sort trouble makers out before they get in.
I never knew you could bowl a bouncer in rugby….
But then again, what do I know about rugby? I mean, I don’t even own my own cue..
