Was a great match, rugby is healthy in South Africa!

    2 @ smallies:
Didn’t get to see it but it sounds like it was a BIG game, but ag no smallies you can’t be serious maybe if your team won a Super rugby title you would appreciate its superiority to the Currie Cup. I agree the CC has so much more history and a lot of passion for it in SA, but come on how can you compare a local competition that was taking place with most of the current international players in it with the Super competition much better players playing and more travel involved so I’d say its more than just a ‘nice’ one to win, in fact its moerse lekker to win πŸ™‚ the only thing will grant is that the format of Supe rugby is flawed and needs to be looked at.

Now if we can only get the Sharkies to actually start attending their home games……..

    @ Bullscot:
Acording to me the CC is the lifeblood of sa rugby and super rugby is the cancer killing,I’m not saying stop super rugby but place more importance on the CC than super rugby,120 years vs 20 od years says it all

There were 48 000 at the game. Stadium can take 52 000. So 4000 seats empty. The normal case with the very high seats up in the east stand to each corners don’t always get full up there. Not great seats to sit in at all. Then at the back of the North stand is sometimes empty seats, because I guess the screen is at the back of them. Otherwise a very good crowd came out in not so good weather.

Don’t worry though, when we host the final of S15 next year we will have fullhouse…… Tounge-Out Overjoy

It’s important because we won it.

It would have been mostly irrelevant if we had lost

That’s the way it goes Wink

It’s like the Super Rugby Conference trophy (an actual trophy). The other SA Super Rugby teams supporters don’t rate it.

But then no one else has ever won it.

    Wait until they do…..

    Happy

It didn’t look very full on Saturday.

Well we topped the CC log and won nothing for it…. πŸ˜› It is winning the final that counts. So have no idea why there is a trophy for topping the log in the SR Conference. Is there a name for that trophy? It comes down to winning the whole thing I suppose in a final. We topped the log in S14 in 2007 but lost the final. For me topping the log there meant nothing much because we lost the final. It is all about winning the final and getting the (real) cup…. Wink

SA rugby 2012 se verskillende kampioene:

    Cravenweek laerskole: Bulle
    Cravenweek hoΓ«rskole: Bulle
    Varsity Cup: Tuks (Bulle)
    Club champs: Rovers ? (Sharks)
    0/19 CB: WP
    0/21 CB: Bulle
    Vodacom Cup: WP
    Curriebeker: WP

Het ek enige bekers gemis ?

As ek so daarna kyk,lyk dit vir my asof die Bulle en WP se junior strukture mooi in plek is, en kan dit dalk in komende jare weer groot gevegte afgee.

The west stand was totally full. Normally is in a big game. It is always the east stand to both corners high up that don’t get full. Also the north stand behind the screen. Just read in the paper there were 48 000 at the game. So 4000 empty seats. Not sure why people go on and on about empty seats though. For some times are hard and some just can’t afford to take the whole family to the game. Especially at KP because it is more a family outing there. They big on having things for all the kids to do there and just about everyone takes their better half with to the Tank. So count the cost of taking a whole family to the game? Think it was R350 a ticket for the final and that was just in the east stand. Also plenty that DO have season tickets wait until the day to see the weather before going. From where I was sitting it looked plenty full was only looking up at the east stand and north stand I saw empty seats, like I said that is normal there at KP. I can tell you it sounded more than full though………hahaha.

    @ Puma:
90% full is pretty full, true.

    Good enough.

Not quite Newlands but good enough. πŸ™‚

THE SUPER RUGBY CONFERENCE WINNERS TROPHY!!!

    Dammit.

12 @ Maak die WP almal Bokke Stromersboy:
Never been to Newlands, then again in the CC games there it was not full either, quite empty. Would have been full if Province had to hold a final no doubt about that.

We still have the best after party though….. πŸ˜› NO where beats us at that…… Happy-Grin

  • 15

    @ Puma:
Never been to Newlands? A seasoned world traveler such as yourself?

Next time make an effort to come down here sometime. It would be my honor to show you around.

But don’t wait too long, we’ll be moving soon.

Almost came for the Semi in SR. Then never. A game I most certainly should have gone too… πŸ˜›

Ja, just never been there or to Loftus either. KP and Ellis Park, been to both so many times can’t even count….hahaha.

mits die Bulle n nuwe game plan uitdink

  • 18

  • 19

    @ bdb:
Het die Sharks bietjie SAT gelyk Saterdag? Hulle was vir my maar redelik flou. Any guess why?

  • 20

    @ bdb:
Sies. wag todat julle dit (eendag) wen. Dan sal dit skielik belangrik wees πŸ™‚

  • 21

  • 22

    19: 3 dinge:

    1. lynstaanprobleme

    6. WP was goed

  • 24

Daai beker is so gesog daar in die Kaap broer, Respek man, respek.

  • 27

  • 29

So ek gaan myself betjorts as dit dieselfde plan is vir volgende jaar, want dit gaan jonger spelers wegdryf.

    23 @ superBul:
Super you are wrong. Lambie has always performed at flyhalf. Always consistently good there. Have never seen him have a bad game there. He was outstanding on Saturday again, and in a losing side. That is a class player that can stand out in a losing side.

He has not been consistent at fullback but he is a flyhalf and one of our very best. He showed up Morne hugely last week.
