I doubt we will see such a poor performance by the AB’;s again, but if we do, with that pack (bar Greyling), playing like that, will do very well. I would like to see wholesale changes in the backs – M Steyn, Pienaar, JdV and Kirchner out, Lambie, Goosen, Taute and S Pretorius in.

OK, shall we mosey on over to the Aussie / Argies thread

    @ grootblousmile:

Agreed, but I think Sarel is too attacking for our coaches to stomach, it would be welcomed though. Also I think Ratel needs to come back, he just takes us to another dimension.

aagh sorry man, i cant realy comment properly, there must be others too, anyway the trend is set. Most of us want new players and if they fail more new ones. Team building forgotten….
I am going to check all comments tonight, now i am going back to work.

Willemse thinks Ostrich should go for a coffee with Mallet – swear I thought I saw a small blush from Mallet.

We’ll see if Brussow has another barnstorming one this afternoon again… but yes, he MUST be in the mix.

Flo did well though, very well

I seem to remember me saying at the start of the S15 that Greyling was shit, and certain Bulls supporter shot me down for it.

    Just saying………………….. Worry

So disappointed again, even more so than last week. Boks SHOULD have won this game if Goosen started. Too many missed kicks at posts and please Meyer should never ever let Greyling EVER play in a Bok jersey again ever. He cost us hugely.

    Players that cost us tonight:

    Greyling
    Morne
Ruan again just way, way too slow.
Zane too not good enough. Solid but that is about it.

Meyer should be brave enough to start with Goosen and Lambie at Loftus.

Damn man, we were the better team tonight and we still lose. So gutted. 21 points lost by missed kicks at post. Two tries went begging as well. They Greyling costing us as well.

Mallett very coy, all of a sudden – Ostrich a mate, and send each other sms’s

    308 @ Loosehead:
    Yeah…. you were right.

Never say I do not change my opinion or do not admit I was wrong!

  • 312

    308 @ Loosehead:
Why the hell take Beast off? Then for Greyling?????????? Daft move by Meyer. Greyling must never EVER wear the green and gold again EVER.

Goosen should have started. If he had we would have won this game. Lambie should have started too at fb. Zane missed a tackle that lead to a try. Well Flip missed first then Zane.

Ag, so gutted a game we should have won and won by plenty we go and lose.

    304 @ Die Valk:
Take a look at Province’s scrummie Groom. He is a superb talent. Also tonight look at Sharks scrummie playing he too is very good. Also there is Cheetahs Van Zyl.

Ruan not doing it either. I would actually try Hougie back there at Loftus.

just cant put my finger on who the certain bull supporters was that didnt agree with you.
do you mind mentioning some names? 😉

  • 318

    Dean isn’t bad, he’s just dom……that’s all.

  • 319

Lambies now played 10 minutes in 320 minutes of being in a boks jersey

  • 320

McCaws won 98 of 110 tests he’s played in

  • 321

    317 @ Ashley:
    I’ll name him… it’s GBS, the dumb ass…. hehehe

  • 322

Ostrich now a 43% win rate with the Boks

  • 323

    @ Just For Kicks:
    NIE AANVAARBAAR NIE…..

  • 324

Why bring on Lambie for only 5 min? Mind boggles really, what can a player do in 5 bloody minutes? Meyer should start Goosen and Lambie at Loftus.

So we will have to wait another year to beat ABS on their home soil. Damn we should have won this game today. We were the better team and only a few letting us down so badly. Not sure if we will get a chance like this again to beat the Blacks on their home turf.

  • 325

    gbs @ 321
    lol lol lol

  • 326

    308 @ Loosehead:They tend to do that!

  • 327

    What a SHIT Rugby test.

All Blacks were POOR, and the SA team still weren’t good enough.

Haven’t read all of the comments, and couldn’t be bothered to blog during the game, but IMO there needs to be wholesale changes. How many line outs did SA lose on their own throw? 5 or 6?

Even the commentators commented that the kicking game was poor, and then de Villiers sayd in the interview that they kick “to regain possession.” Someone, somewhere has their head stuck up a dark and smelly hole if that is the game plan.

Ah well, there’s a great band doing the local pub scene in JHB. They go by the name “Back To The Drawing Board”, I’ll gladly send the contact details to SARU.

Brute force and TOTAL ignorance Rugby. Not a great recipe is it.

  • 328

    @ Puma:
The remarks by the NZ commentators says it all
“If Goosen had started, I think the score would look very different”
“When the Springboks watch the tape of this game they will wonder how they managed to lose, they had more than enough opportunities to win this game”

  • 329

Imagine that you are Johan Goosen and that you are in the SPRINGBOK side and you are well aware that the coach thinks that Mornd Steyn is a better 10 than what you are.
Now imagine that you are Pat Lambie…………….and HM thinks that Sideshow Bod is a better player than what you are…………….

The last part of the match report on Superrugby

The win took the Lions to 20 points on the log, which will see them go into next weekend’s seventh round on top of the standings unless Western Province manage to score a bonus-point win over the Sharks.

It should be the last game the Lions play for a while with Jantjies because if he does not get a call-up to the Springbok squad, given his brilliant all-round form and the calamitous display by Morne Steyn in Dunedin, there is probably going to be a riot.
