Naka Drotske and Hawies Fourie have reshuffled the backline to lend more impetus on attack. The most meaningful change is the return to the flyhalf berth for Sias Ebersohn.
Riaan Smit moves to wing where he has had many a good match for the Cheetahs. Barry Geel replaces Andries Strauss who falls out of the match 22 alltogether.
Flying Raymond Rhule retains his spot and Sarel Pretorius starts at No 9.
In the pack, Andries Ferreira returns at No 4, after recovering from injury and Frans Viljoen comes in at No 6 for the injured Boom Prinsloo.
The Cheetahs will really have to up their games, or receive a real drubbing for the third time this year from the Blue Bulls.

Agree, L4e, the Goose is crucial to the Cheetahs. Unfortunately, we couldn’t foresee, that Sias would crash and burn so spectacularly. Riaan Smit is a good x-factor player, but not a fulltime 10.
Cheetahs need Goosen, as he is the guy that sparks that dangerous backline, without him, they have been average. It just shows the value of a talented 10. Initially without Jantjies, the Lions looked ordinary, must say Bootch was masterclass on Saturday.
