News from Newlands is that the WP / Stormers have signed U21 centre JP du Plessis.

After allowing players like Sadie to move to other Unions, and losing Jacques Fourie to Japan the WP / Stomers have been left with only Jean De Villiers and Jean De Jongh to play in the centre. Du Plessis moved to Australia to play rugby league in 2009. He was not really successful and then was contracted by the Rebels, where he also failed to make the grade. He returned to Cape Town and has now been contracted by the WP / Stormers.
