536@ Just For Kicks: Steyn does a bit, but Morkel would be damn scary……hehehe.

  • 542

    9 Needed

    Cummins on strike to Steyn

  • 543

    Was that a 4?

    Almost caught and bowled

  • 544

Sharp catch put down, story of the day

  • 546

I am so impressed with this 18yo Cummins, 4th 1st class match, and he is just soaking up the pressure, good on him. I think he has a very bright future ahead of him

  • 547

Still only 5 needed, difference being Johnson will be on strike

  • 548

    Oh dammit, Tahir to bowl

  • 549

Is this a good move? Tahir on

  • 550

Single taken… Cummins on strike again

  • 551

  • 552

    Not out, going down leg

  • 554

    Wow, closer than I thought!

  • 555

    Fark, not out… marginal

  • 556

    Aussies win…

    Cummins with a 4

  • 557

All over-cadovers. Very poor show from SA I am afraid. Well done Aus to come back from that loss last week

  • 558

To say that I am pissed off is a mild understatement. I disagree with Kepler, SA didn’t bowl well, there were times when they did, but in general not – except Philander

  • 559

Almost, but not enough. If Steyn could only have caught that and instead it went to the boundary.

    Well done Australia.

This is why I LOVE test cricket. Games like this make it so exciting one just never knows how it will end.

Pity this is the last test, should have been another 2 or 3 still to come.

  • 560

man of the match should be cummins
player of the series … philander.

  • 561

    Well… that’s it.

Now the Blomme play Sri Lanka here from about middle December

  • 562

Highest 4th Innings chase at Wanderers, ever

  • 563

557@ Just For Kicks:Agree we should have beaten this Oz side. This is not a great Oz side and we should have beaten them well. But struggled to do so.

Said we were about 50 or 55 runs short. But if we had brought on Philander earlier who knows we may have done it. If Steyn caught that ball from Cummins we still could have. Pity it was a bit high but if he got him out the next surely would have gone.

Test cricket just got to love it.

Back again – just seen this on the wires, and thought I’d paste it –

Peter Roebuck Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Male Student
    Nov 21, 2011 Steyn

    Peter Roebuck

It looks like the investigation into the death of Peter Roebuck is far from over. The Australian sports journalist committed suicide at the Newlands Southern Sun hotel last weekend. He jumped six floors to his death from his hotel room window.

Police will now talk to 16 young men – aged 18 to 26 – whose education was being paid for by the sportsman and who lived at his eight-bedroom house in Pietermaritzburg. The men are mostly Zimbabwean, and many came from a home for abandoned boys in the country’s capital of Harare.

Roebuck had been accused of sexually assaulting one of them before his suicide. The alleged victim, Ital Gondo laid a charge of indecent assault against the former Somerset captain after claiming he had been “groomed” through Facebook.

This is not the first time Roebuck was involved with something like this. He was at the centre of controversy in 2001 when he received a suspended jail sentence for common assault after beating three teenage cricketers “across their bare buttocks with a cane”. The South African boys had been invited to stay at his former home in Taunton, Somerset, for coaching in the late 1990s.

  • 569

frustrating!! this aussie side is nowhere near the great aussie sides of yesteryear … we shouldve beaten them and beaten them well.
wonder what gary’s plans are with this team … theres already talk from the aussies that they’re bringing in new blood … we? would most propably stick to those “you’ve served us well over the years”.

It was pretty obvious, I suppose, that something of this nature was going to come out
