    from rugby365
“The All Blacks’ next Tri-Nations assignment is the Test against South Africa in Port Elizabeth on August 20. Then they go to Brisbane and then they play in the World Cup. They may take fewer than allowed to Port Elizabeth, leaving some top players behind.

Graham Henry, whose team is unbeaten in the 2011 Tri-Nations (with two from two thus far), is talking about taking 24 players to South Africa instead of the 26 allowed.

One of those like to be left in New Zealand to rest again is big Brad Thorn who is now 36 and heading for the last round-up. Kieran Read is another to likely to stay behind while fellow Crusaders star Dan Carter may also be left in the protection of his home.”
