Coach, Allister Coetzee, has announced the Stormers team to play the Crusaders in Saturday afternoon’s semi final.
Jaque Fourie has been declared fit and partners Jean De Villiers at center. Conrad Jantjes is at fullback, so expect a whole lot of up and under’s. Tiaan Liebenberg is preferred at hooker for his scrummaging power and more accurate lineout throwing. Saracens hooker, Schalk Brits, finds himself on the bench as loose forward cover.

Wickus Blaauw, Tiaan Liebenberg, Brok Harris, Rynhardt Elstadt, Andries Bekker, Schalk Burger (c), Francois Louw, Nick Koster, Dewaldt Duvenage, Peter Grant, Bryan Habana, Jean De Villiers, Jaque Fourie, Gio Aplon, Conrad Jantjes.
Replacements:
Deon Fourie, Steven Kitshoff, Anton Van Zyl, Schalk Brits, Louis Schreuder, Juan de Jongh, Johann Sadie.
Conrad Jantjes……………..expect a whole lot of pointless up and under’s Kirchner style.
weak spots in the team are: Jantjes, Habanananananana and to a certain extent uncle Brock, though he has been better this season, otherwise a very strong outfit with an awesome bench, also glad that Aplon is in the starting team, expect quite a bit of excitement from him…..Good luck Stormers, will be cheering you on, julle is mos my land se mense 🙂
Sharks and Stormers, why bring in foreigners into your teams so late in the season???? Why why why??? What do you gain and what do you lose? I immediately feel that there is no trust in the Union in their OWN systems/structures.
Let me put it catogoricaly the Bulls would not do it. We rather play a game with a Scrumhalf who has 0 Super 15 experience(Justin Jinka) than buying a mercenary to save our sorry souls.
The message you send out doing that damages the team spirit. Funny enough, something the Cape side started to build and understand. This is a bacward move , watch it boomerang.

@ superBul:3 – We brought in Freddie Super, cause we knew what we had in him. He had played for the Sharks in 2008. Hoffman was injured.
Freddie was superb when we played against the Bulls. So it paid off.
Not sure how long we have him for though. Think for quite awhile yet.

Super, look I was as surprised as anyone else that Brits was flown in but I believe your statement that there is no faith in their structures is taking it a bit far.
Just how many times did AC show faith in the new kids on the wing, in the centre and at fly-half not to mention the regulars who have come through the structures here?
