John Plumtree has named his team to face the ACT Brumbies on Saturday evening in Durban at the Stadium Mr Kingspark.

Out of the squad due to injury goes Captain John Smit and 8thman Ryan Kankowski, John Smit injured a calf muscle while Ryan Kankowski has a facial injury but both are expected back to full fitness after the Sharks bye next weekend. Another player left out is Ross Skeate who drops out of the match day twenty two all together, and whether he is injured or not is not known.

Back into the starting fifteen comes the fiery hooker Bismark DuPlessis who is sure to want to prove he is not 2nd best and should be starting, He does however need to look closely at his discipline as it could prove very costly, also into the team comes 2 youngsters from the SharksXV.

Anton Bresler and Marcell Coetzee have been elevated from The Sharks XV onto the bench to provide cover in the second and third rows respectively, although Bresler, with four appearances for The Sharks this season ineligible to play in the Vodacom Cup semis anyway.

The biggest change however is the return to the starting fifteen for enigmatic flanker Jean Deysel who is slowly getting back to full fitness after a 10 month layoff due to a serious knee injury, with Willem Alberts shifting to 8thman and Deysel taking his place on the side of the scrum

Stefan Terreblanche takes over for the injured John Smit as team Captain and retains his place with center partner Meyer Bosman in a combonation which has proved very troublesome for the Sharks in recent matches.

good team , but im still dissapointed

sadly mostert is out injured too and thats the reason he is not on the bench atleast
however i would have liked to see a new center pairing as that is the biggest problem the sharks have right now

I would have brought back a rejuvinated swannie and adi on his outside as i think that would have given the sharks more fire power

i am a huge stefan fan as most know but i reckon the old legs are konking in, and bosman well?? is bosman

@ sharky_forever:I would have liked to see a new centre pairing as well. We have Adi and Swannie so why not? Really can never understand why Adi does not get a start?

Also why is Mvovo on the bench? I would have started with him. Just not sure what Plum is thinking by leaving Mvovo on the bench.

Like I said to you on sw pleased Deysel will be starting. He should have started last week at 6 rather than bring him on so late.

    Go Sharks.
