Vodacom Bulls coach Frans Ludeke added close to 200 Super Caps to his side in making two changes for Friday night’s Super Rugby clash against the Waratahs at Loftus Versfeld.
Ludeke drafted in Danie Rossouw (113 caps) and Gary Botha (84 caps) to his starting line-up with them replacing Dewald Potgieter and Chiliboy Ralepelle, both who will move to the bench.
Rossouw and Botha last started a match together against the Chiefs, a match the Bulls won 43-27.
“We are blessed with the lack of injuries. We have one or two guys out, but for the rest, I am able to pick my strongest side,” Ludeke said.
“The way Danie has been playing off the bench lately makes him the right option for this match, while Gary and Chili swops around every two weeks anyway,” Ludeke explained his selection.
Akona Ndungane, who suffered a soft tissue injury agains the Cheetahs last weekend, will have till the captain’s run on Thursday to prove his fitness. If he fails the fitness test, Gerhard van den Heever will move from the bench to replace him, with Stephan Dippenaar coming into the match 22.

Replacements: Chiliboy Ralepelle (32), Rossouw de Klerk (11), Flip van der Merwe (31), Dewald Potgieter (43), Dustin Jinka (0), Francois Brummer (5), Gerhard van den Heever (28)/Stephan Dippenaar (19).
Notes:
- Danie Rossouw and Victor Matfield will better the Bulls career appearances on Friday when they will pass the mark set by Pedrie Wannenburg. All three have now played 113 matches for the Bulls.
- Bjorn Basson is only one try shy of Bryan Habana’s tries for a season record. Basson has scored eight times this year.
Victor has got to stop playing, he must be rested now. Bulls lose nothing by adding another great jumper, but Danie alongside Stegmann, have we seen this before?
How can the Bulls get 4% in the poll when no one voted for them? weird is it possible the ou’s in Pretoria can’t do maths? 😉

1 – Agree. Matfield should be rested. Bulls will beat Tahs with or without Matfield. This is a good time to give him a rest.
I would find a place for him in the starting 15 every week. Would love him to play for the VRYSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

Super, it is changed there is now one vote….I suspect it may be yours. Still doesnt calc…there are 34 votes total, there is one vote for the Bulls, that is 2.9%, I dont know how it can be 6%. The rest of the poll pans out, the % is correct as per the number of votes ie out of 34 total votes.

Mmmm, You’re only about a week late in noticing there’s a descrepancy in the Poll…. Ashley and myself have commented on that already about a week ago.
Don’t know where the glitch lies in the specific Poll because I simply have not bothered to go to the trouble of finding such a minor little thing, in the bigger scheme of things which needs to happen here on T-T and in my life in general.
One gets the idea nicely enough in the poll as it stands regarding public sentiment on how you guys think it’ll pan out, anyway, does’nt one?

Ooor die poll wat nou reg is , ek het gisteraand toe jy so besig was met 4 computers daai een so stil stil reg gemaak, sien ek is ook slim. Baie dankie vir al die werk op die PC,s min vriende sal tot 3 uur op n aand n mens so help. Om nie eens van gisteraand se 1:30 te praat nie.
Gisteraand was my ogies maar moeg, maar snaaks toe ons gaan slap toe is ek weer wawyd wakker. Moet daai koue lug van julle wees. Ek sal nie daar aard nie, vanmore se ys op my bakkie het my finaal oortuig.

Die Ryp en ys op jou vensters was lig en dun vanoggend, soms is die ys soos ‘n dik skil en sukkel mens om dit af te kry…. ligte lou watertjies is die enigste manier, want koue water vries dan net so bo-op die ys en warm water bars dan sommer jou ruit.
