VRYSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT are sure of points this weekend. [As the system awards points for not playing]

  • 2

I may have to think long and hard about this weekends picks…..

  • 3

McCaw is out with a recurrence of the foot injury.

    3 More team Sheets added

I see PDV has all but confirmed that he will play 2007 rugby at this WC.
He does not think Crusaders rugby is the way to win the WC.
He will rely on the 2007 players.
The most amazing thing to me is that he believes we can outmuscle other teams!!
It is incredible that he believes all of this.
I suppose I should not be surprised!!

  • 6

@ tight head:5 – TH. I know read that and was actually disappointed to read it. I wanted to respond to that article over there, but really just could not be bothered. Not even looking forward to this wc. Can’t see us going far at all.

Just can’t believe they think we can win with outdated rugby. Which it is. We need more than just to out muscle a team. Saders can do that effectively, also can play any style of rugby right now. Which sadly we can’t. We rely too much on the physical stuff. It won’t work in this wc. Think even Fiji and Samoa could beat us. I feel that low about our wc this year.

See PdV wants us to play a Stormer style rugby!! Did he not see the Reds adapted well and played em at their own game and were better at it? I give up really. Just gonna look further to wc 2015 and hope by then we have smart coaches and never repeat this by selecting a coach that should not have got selected. Meyer should have been coach, but really AC could have done a great job as well. He also speaks well, would never have embarrassed us ever.

See it being a Aussie and AB final. Looks that way for now. Oz have a easy road to the final they should do it, if we look how well the Reds are playing. They the closest to he Saders right now.

  • 7

    @ Puma:
I would like to see what he says when the Saders put 20 points on the Stormers at Newlands!!

  • 8

    @ Puma:
141 days to the World Cup opening, think another day before we play. There is still a lot off water that will flow into the sea. Have faith.

Just think how down we were about Jakes run in to the WC.

  • 9

    7@ tight head:
    Hehehe

Wait till some of the Stormers supporters get hold of you now….

  • 10

@ grootblousmile:9 – … hehehe. I know, but read PdV says he wants Boks to play that style?????? If we make the semi we have done mighty well. We won’t get further than that. We gonna see our backsides in that semi against the ABs, mark my words.

  • 11

    @ tight head:7 – LOL.

Stormers gonna have to adjust their game now. They will have to if Reds klapped em at their own game. Saders can play any style of game right now. They just as physical, or probably one of the most physical. Just see that Frank oke knocked out two players in two weeks…..hehehe. They come with physicality, kick and grind it out, and the best attacking side as well. They have it all.

  • 12

    @ grootblousmile:
    Hee Hee Hee!!
    I wait for Saint!!

  • 13

@ superBul:8 – This time in 2007 we were playing well in SuperRugby. We eventually had two teams in that final.

Then with the Boks we beat the Aussies in Cape Town with two great drop goals by Fransie. Against ABs we lost in Durban but was not worried about that game. We had 6 players out injured. Then we toured with a understrength side. That never bothered me either. WE were ready for that wc Super. We NO-WHERE near ready this time.

PdV don’t even know who his captain will be. And if it is Victor we in the poo. He will cost us with the refs big time. Refs won’t take that rubbish with Victor losing his cool everytime. Need cool heads there. We don’t really know who the team will be right now either?????????

Now we gonna play another teams style of rugby? That got a good smack by the Reds? No boeta, we in big trouble for this world cup. We should have been just about ready now, with gameplan, who our captain will be and players.

Fast forward to 2015. That is what I am doing. Think we will have to start from scratch again like Jake done in 2004.

If we win this world cup. I will eat humble pie and will do so. But can you see us getting past the ABs? Most of our Boks is in the Bulls side that got wiped out by the Saders to ZERO. We in trouble I think.

  • 14

    @ tight head:12 – 😆 So do I….hehehehe.

i think the Bulls were just as bad in 2007 at the same stage, will check it. Think we had a slow start back then too.

Again the same , he wants Smit, the pessimists is pushing him over the cliff.

    let this guy answer you
I sometimes wonder if people actually watch the Boks when they play. They barely kicked at all in the Autumn internationals, preferring instead to retain possession and recycle the ball through their powerful forward pack. They adapted to the new breakdown interpretation late in the Tri Nations and are in no way married to an all out kicking approach. As to the scrum-half debate, whoever it is will have a fairly comfortable ride as man for man the Bok pack is clearly the best in the world. Can any other test team boast a first choice and back-up of this quality? 1. Steenkamp/Beast
    2. Bismarck/Smit
    3. Du Plessis/Van der Linde
    4. Botha/Rossouw
    5. Matfield/Bekker
    6. Smith/Alberts
    7. Burger/Brussow
    8. Spies/Vermuelen etc. Du Preez and Pienaar are excellent at running a game from the base, either would do a good job. Pienaar has been very good in the ML/HEC this year and is perhaps the form option. The Boks real issues lie further out in the backline, particularly at 10/12/13 where genuine creativity and passing is lacking in the Steyn/JDV/Fourie crash ball combination. Bryan Habana is also an albatross around the neck of the Boks, somehow immune from calls for his head, perhaps as a result of his iconic status, he’s been out of form for some time and needs to be replaced asap if they are to succeed in the 3N.

Maybe you have read it already….

  • 18

16: word Bismark gerus of is hy beseer ?

  • 19

@ sharky_forever:Just saw on sw. Pleased Lambieis back and see no JLP even on the bench. Bosman will cover fh if need be. Good to see Botes start.

    Go Sharks.

  • 20

@ bdb:18 – Bissie has a shoulder niggle. He will be back for Stormers game.

  • 21

  • 22

@ superBul: Well we played rubbish last year. We lost 5 out of 6 games in the Tri-Nations and lost to a poor Scotland side that ABS smashed.

Bulls never lost to ZERO in 2007 Super. That is a worry. Cause that was against a Team with many All Blacks and Boks in that Bulls side. Given the Bulls played a far better game against the Reds and I feel will get better as this tourney goes. Well do hope so.

But have not read too many being positive about our chances this wc. They could suprise us. Have to wait and see.

Catch up later Super. Need to do some work.

  • 23

    good morning gents

yes bidibidi bismark has a slight niggle and sharks decided to rest him till next week

also back next week will be hargreaves and deysel

  • 24

    @ Puma:meant = surprise

  • 25

@ sharky_forever:23 – Yes, can’t wait to have a full strength Shark side. Just hope no injuries after the Canes game.

So looks like JLP was dropped? Never even made the bench.

  • 26

  • 28

27: deysel in, so hul gaan seker vir alberts drop … alberts moet dan maar Bulle toe kom …

  • 29

    @ bdb:

    😆 lekker droom

    kanko 8
    alberts 7
    deysel 6

that was the sharks loose trio that smashed scala, flo and verleulen last year when they met in the super 14

en hul ander opsie is daniel of 8 as alberts en deysel die flanke is

  • 30

I see the Chiefs are leaving it ’till the last minute before naming their side.

Must be fearing a Lions backlash!
