Stormers (27) 51 / Force (16) 16 (Final Score)

The Stormers hosted the Western Force at Newlands, Cape Town today. The Stormers comprehensively outplayed the Force in every aspect of the game. The Stormers scored 6 tries to the 1 try scored by the Force. Take a bow the Stormers tight 5, they were huge. The Force were basically just a one man show with James O’Conner the only real stand out player.

Hi Loosehead, sorry about your team yesterday after that great win over the Tahs. But then last weekend was a bit strange wasn’t it what with the Bulls choking for the second game in a row at Loftus.
This weekend seems to be back to normal though with the Proteas once again bowing out so elegantly in a CWC semi.

    @ Bullscot:
Hi Bullscot.I get the feeling that the Stormers will be unhappy with how they are playing.Even though they are winning.

  • 39

Stormers backs crabbing across the field.

    @ Loosehead:
Hi there Loosehead am not able to watch the game just going by the score you have up here and it looks like the bonus point already in the bag, what part of the Stormers play is not looking good?

Francois Louw getting smart with the ref. Who does he think he is? Victor Matfield?

  • 47

J Fourie about to leave the field with a hand injury, J De Jongh to replace.

  • 48

Force running every ball, but the Stormers defense remains strong.

  • 49

Francois Louw sin binned for repeated infringements. Ignorant Boolands crowd is booing the ref.

  • 50

Excellent attacking play by the Stormers.

  • 51

Penalty to the Stormers, Grant going for posts.

    Aplon has been outstanding today.

    @ Loosehead:
I can’t see the game but from your commentary sounds like Grant is clocking up the points today…..

  • 56

Matfield should watch a recording of this match. Bekker has been everywhere. Since luke watson has left the Stormers, Bekker has been playing a much tighter role.

  • 57

    @ Blue Bird:
He has been excellent. On todays form he is the form 10 in SA.

  • 58

    D Fourie off, Ntubeni on.
    F Louw back after binning.

  • 59

    @ Loosehead:
Lets hope Snor gives him a chance then this WC….

The Stormers were truly lacklustre when I saw them play in Newlands on 11th March. It was great to actually be there but the rugby was frankly a bit of a disappointment!!

Sun shining here, must go out and do something…..Keep up the good work, it is great for those of us that do not have access to the games.
