The Toyota Cheetahs hosted the Vodacom Bulls at Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein at 19:10 SA Time. This was the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 and CSN on TV in SA.
Once again a game of two halves for the Bulls, this time extremely lacklustre in the first half and on fire after the break, when they decided to keep more possession.
It was hard, it was brutal, it was close… it was a derby!

Hierdie jaar word nie baie driee gedruk nie, die verdedigings coaches het hard gewerk. Dink daar is in net een game 4 of meer driee gedruk deur n span.

The only thing about the ref is the sniping comments towards captains. It is after all the right of the captain to clear up decisions. Look they take ages to look at the TMO decisions, why not call the captain one side and tell him what is wrong.

Bloemfontein – It may have been another Lazarus act, but the Vodacom Bulls returned from the dead to storm back and beat the Toyota Cheetahs 25-23 in a nailbiting game at the Free State Stadium on Friday night.
After a mammoth performance both on attack and defence for the home side, they couldn’t sustain a 23-8 lead over the defending Vodacom Super Rugby champions, and eventually ran out of steam to a Bulls side that looked fitter and stronger at the end.

i have more a issue with the pre game talk that is allowed to the Ref. Nake made a big issue of it during the week, he even insinuated that Os knows better. (I dont doubt it for one moment) But that turned the ref to be anti talk on the field. So by the way i reckon he wont complain again, the Bulls scrum was more organised than the Cheetah scrum.
