For those interested. I’ve created my own webpage; the McLook rugby collection.

It will ultimately contain everything I’ve written so far on tours (1965, 1970 and 1976 tours). I’ll add all the other tours over time with all my rugby picures, video and rugby tapes containing commentary of matches. The video’s and rugby commentary will be only snippets of tries.

I’ve recently downloaded video’s of the tries and some other highlights of the first test of 1965. I’ve also downloed a video with the radio commentary of Gerhard Viviers classic Siddie, Siddie, Siddie of the first test in 1970.

Here is the link to my website: http://springbokrugby.webs.com/

I’ll keep on posting the articles here but the video will only be on my website.

McLook did you read the article below about Sydie? Must be hard on the man, the one thing that made him famous was his speed, his legs. To lose one of them must have been hard to overcome. Real brave words he speaks.

Glad to see you around , we will need your expert views from that side of the world when the real action starts in less than 5 days. What a bloody long wait. And some moan about the long season, what about the long wait.

@ superBul:I think most of our wives will disagree. They are probably dreading the start of the S15.
Things are pretty quiet here in NZ on the rugby front and that is not a gopod sign. They were just as quiet before last years tri-nations.
NZ will -by far- be the hungriest team on the planet to win this years WC.

    @ superBul:
Yes, real brave stuff by Syd Nomis. I wonder who is the 19 year old who caught him from behind prior to his retirement in 1973 and what happen to the 19-year old.

Old Spiekeries was a fantastic commentator!

But here’s a thought…. Just imagine it was Piston van Wyk who scored that famous try…

What would old Spiekeries have shouted…. Pissie, Pissie, Pissie….

    Hehehehe
