Proteas need to start pulling finger. Any opinions about Ingram? Haven’t seen much so far worth getting exited about…

Haven’t been following domestic cricket in SA closely this season so have also been wondering about Ingram and Miller, presume they got in on the back of some really good batting in the domestic leagues. BUT you are spot on as there Ingram is gone cheaply yet again, looking at his international career he has two ODI centuries, against Pakistan and Zimbabwe, and then nothing else to show for it. maybe he is not up to international standard, and its not as if he is a promising youngster like you can maybe say for Miller. Still no signs of Morne v Wyk???

    @ Bullscot:
Yeah can’t really understand that one.

    @ Stormersboy:
Don’t know much about Faf du Plessis, do you think he is good Stormersboy?

    @ Ashley:
Good afternoon Ashley. Who do you think will make the World Cup squad? Not looking at the moment in Cape Town, heres a big chance for Du Plessis, still loads of overs left and not much batting to come after him and Duminy.

  • 11

Sorry meant to say not looking GOOD in Cape Town.

    dont know
but i’m sure well have a spinner (or 2) that cant spin
    and
a keeper that should rather not keep!! 😯

    fokken blommetjies!!

    @ Bullscot:
yes, we are on shaky ground. I hope faf puts it together we need him too for sure. He’s got potential as witnessed in the local games, but many more have played well there only to be shown up at the international stage.

I hope he’s the real deal, we need some young fresh blood in.

Indian team is on the up and since Gary Kirsten is their coach there is nothing they dont know about our team. Strength, style , mental block, etc.

  • 15

    @ Ashley 12:
Ahh come on Ash don’t be such a pessimist, sounds like Tahir is a decent spinner and he is in the current series squad, re wicket keeping, is there a way back for Boucher?

  • 16

SA is slowly building a score

    bullscot @ 15
😀 ag maybe i’m just tired … had a hectic day. anyway, i dont know why tahir is kept under wraps … surely he should have an outing before the wc … even if only to give gsmith the oppertunity to get his fields correct for the spinner? … oh, and i would of course also like to have a look at him, but we’re not discussing me here, are we? 😳

  • 18

    ok guys, i’m out
    chat again soon
    cheers!!

This was confirmed by national selection chief Andrew Hudson to Sport24 on Tuesday.

The 15-man party will be announced at the press conference soon after the finish of the third one-day international against India at Newlands.

South Africa have lost six wickets for 25, since the Powerplay

we must get players from outside THIS group to have any chance in the CWC.

Kallis will help, and Boucher will be crucial now, also Albie Morkel.

Steyn to Vijay, OUT, 131.0 kph
    M Vijay c & b Steyn 1 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 12.50

Steyn to Vijay, OUT, 131.0 kph, Dale Steyn pulls off a stunning caught-and -bowled, this is a slow track in Cape Town, this ball from Steyn stops a bit on Vijay who has to check his drive, the ball pops to the right of Steyn, who has to change direction from his follow-through and dive to latch on to that one, it was at a catch-able height though, and Vijay’s one-day struggles continues, great athleticism from Steyn

India are slipping here, short outside off, turned in, Dhoni sensed a chance, rocked back to cut it past point, got an edge and AB fumbled it on the first attempt only to recover and clasp it in the second, South Africa hold the edge now. How will Yusuf respond?
