The Springboks hosted the Wallabies in their penultimate encounter against one another this year in the Tri-Nations at Loftus, Pretoria, South Africa at 17:00 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The game was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SuperSport HD and M-Net with previews from 16:00 SA Time.
In a very strange match, the Springboks proved too tough for the Wallabies, running in 5 tries to 4.
What was apparent to me of this match was how severely off form Bryan Habana was the whole match and what a positive impact Chiliboy Ralepelle made as a substitute for a lacklustre John Smit.

Victor Matfield did a lap of honour after the match to celebrate his 100th Test Cap.

they really need to do some bok culling in the bok camp….some players no longer deserve to be there…put them on the sideline for a bit, and they might come back bigger and stronger….nothing like some healthy competion if you know you might loose your spot in the bok team…

Guys….can someone start a tread on what team they would pick as a replacement Bok team from all the available players in South Africa..but you are not allowed to pick any of Bok players from last year or something like that. Things is, PDV are currently building towards the 2011 RWC, but what happens after that? Do we go down the drain again like in 2003?….or will we have grear players to take their places if and when needed in the near future. I really think we have loads of players out there that would excel if they ever get the opportunity to train under a good coach ect ..

Habana was vandag lag lag ons k@kste speler, die mannetjie moet sy flokken kop regkry, hy het weereens defensive lyne gebreek, balle mis gevang nie een tackle gevat nie, en bleddie groot foute begaan.
Hy moet nou maar gaan vorm soek in die currie Beker, het dit seker daar op die strand verloor.

Ek hou baie van Hougie…ek dink hy het hope talent en kort net so bietjie speeltyd in die bok span…na n paar jaar kan ht FDP n run for sy money gee. Lamby is briljant…..en so ook mvovo en Brussow. Basson is another great player in the making…I have high hopes for our rugby future….so much talent at our disposal
