Dear Mr Administrator and fellow readers
After reading (frequently) and commenting (rarely) on Rugby-talk, I felt tasked to submit an article again after the last thrashing we got from the AB’s and the reaction to it.
A blog site is supposed have readers and participants from both sided of the coin, which means your side and my side. Or his side and her side, or their side and our side, or the amateurs’ side and the professional’s side, and lastly the opposition’s side and the supporter’s side. If we do not have that, support it, embrace it and challenge those trying to meddle with it, this blog site will also loose support.
What is nice about this site is that every opinion is liked, challenged fairly, we take the piss at each other, we even open articles demanding that you take the piss. But it also states quite clearly in those instances that we should refrain from making certain insults on articles where the idea is to have normal arguments to and fro on the topic. What I have seen the past 24 hours from well known member on this site has prompted me to go take an hour break from the PC to get my emotions in order, otherwise I would have added to the injury caused and started insulting users.
Ok, my side of the coin first since I am writing the article. I advocated another loss this weekend due to mainly two issues: firstly the top referees in the world are from the southern hemisphere (SH) and should be the only referees allowed to blow the whistle during the 3N. That means the referees blowing during the S14 should be on duty. Secondly the Boks are playing a stupid game plan not suiting the current rules, they are playing with 5 men on the park who should either not be there or play in different positions. Enough said about that, I think most of us agree on these two points. The three incidents which imho changed the game on Saturday were discussed, argued, disagreed with, agreed with, hell even more than after the first game! For the record I am talking about the bizarre yellow card, the bizarre non-yellow cards and the high tackle on Zane. My opinion on these three is in line with most bloggers on the site.
Guess what my point is? It is my opinion only, and if I differ from you on my opinion, please accept that we differ. If you differ from me and want to make a stronger point about differing, I actually appreciate the challenge and will continue looking at your opinion, comparing it with mine. But fellow readers, if you start being sexist towards me, act like a chauvinist towards me, personally insult me because you differ from me, shame on you. I would probably ignore you because I would in our difference on opinion, try and maintain the moral high ground. Oh and you should consider two actions then:
One, apologize for blowing off steam and stepping across an inexcusable line, or two, consider yourself part of the lesser quality bloggers from a site where most of us comes from…..and go back there please, because there they keep on insulting each other, making sexist remarks, act like chauvinists.
If we want to keep bloggers from other nations on this site, we absolutely have to accept the fact that it is only an opinion from another blogger which differs, not fact. And if you as the reader feel you want to deck someone due to difference on opinion, mmm, shame on you again mate. Their opinions are valued due to the other side of the coin they bring. If you cannot embrace that fact, follow step two please.
Back to rugby, come the next number of weeks in the 3N Piet Snor has got very little else to do but:
One, make the right positional choices. Two, fire both his backline and forwards coach. Three, motivate his senior players again. Four, play the Bulls game plan in the S14 final, because regardless of which provincial team I support, THAT game plan won the S14.
Do you think Piet Snor will do it? I reckon if he can get two out of the four done, we have a chance, else sorry guys, a whole year of international rugby has been lost and next year will probably be too late for retaining the RWC.

Blouste i still dont get the rant from PS, really i watched the link of a eye gouge and then i blew my top. And i had the right to get angry, did you see the video clip?
I immediately said that that was not a gouge and during the day everyone agreed, even the overeager citing official did not cite him for that.
But bringing that type of video up every game had some of our own SA rugby lovers believing we are thugs by now.
Aaagh i am tired. I will have to leave this place for a while, let this storm settle.

Dan, en ek kan self nie glo ek sê dit nie, maar dit is tyd vir Barney om eers bietjie shape te gaan kry in die CC. Behalwe dat hy oorgewig is, wil dit voorkom of hy sy “fire” verloor het? Ek glo nog steeds ‘n fikse John Smit is die man om ons te lei na WC glorie.
Wat vir my die sadste is is dat tydens die laaste weke van die S14 het ek gedink ons rugby is baie gesond, maar nou??? Wat het verkrrd gegaan van toe af na nou toe? Ons spelers kan mos nie skielik so “sleg” geword het nie? Net nou die dag nog het die Stormers al 5 die AllBlacks se s14 spanne afgestof, en die Stormer lostrio het amok gesaai!! Nou skielik kry hulle niks uitegerig nie. Die reels het mos nie verander van toe na nou nie!
So, wat het verander? Ander afrigters? Ander kaptein? Ander skeidsregters? Of is die span net nie gelukkig genoeg nie??

Die skeidsregter het nie die reels toegepas nie.
Soos hulle nou op superrugby gese het , die spanne wat die meste strafskoppe afgestaan het vir oor die bal val ens. was die Crusaders met 96 en dan die Hurricanes.
Die ref het hulle bykans nooit daarvoor gestraf nie en ons die HEELTYD !!!
Flok, as die die reels anders interpreteer word, doen dit minstens met altwee spanne 👿

Dis wat ek mos sê, ons SA spanne (Bulls en Stormers) het die AllBlacks ore aangesit in die S14 en ek wil jou amper ‘n brief gee dat indien ons die eerste toets met die Bulle gespeel eht(met hulle afrigtingspan) en die tweede met die Stormers(selfde voorwaardes) EN met S14 refs, dan het ons dalk altwee games gewen!!
OK, ek dink ek praat dalk so bietjie tjol, maar jy verstaan wat ek bedoel?

Ja die NH refs is nie op standaard nie. Brenden Venter (van Saracens) moan gedurig oor die refs. Ek dink hulle moet promissing NH refs toelaat om seker S14 games (bv W Force vs Lions) ref. Laat ‘n paar ook CC en NPC games ref en stuur SH refs on ‘n paar games hier te ref. Dit sal die standaarde v.d. NH op bring.
Ek dink ook die “player driven” stelsel is nie die weg om te werk nie. Heynicke het die senior Bulls ouens betrek en Jake die senior Sprinbok spelers – maar almal het geweet wie run die show. Is PdV die man wat die show run – of is dit ‘n kommitee?
Napolion het gese 1 slegte generaal is beter as 2 gooies menende jy bestuur nie ‘n oorlog met ‘n kommitee nie.

n Groot probleem is Francois Louw wat nie die mas opkom nie. Die Bokke kort n ordentlik fetcher. Ons mis Brussouw baie erg, so ook vir Fourie du Preez. Stegmann moes kans kry, hy is nie so goed so Brussouw nie, maar hy is verseker beter as Francois Louw.
Verder kan geen agterlyn funksioneer met Ricky Januarie nie. Hy is n kwota en klaar. Daar was n duidelik verskil toe Ruan Pienaar opgekom het. Habana se spelpeil is ook kommerwekkend. Die WP het ons land se beste speler in ‘liability’ verander.
Verder glo ek Juan Smith moet toekantflank speel, dis nie omdat ek n Cheetah ondersteuner is nie, maar ek glo regtig Schalk Burger is nie naastenby die speler wat hy was 4 jaar terug nie.
Patrick Lambie kan ook enige dag bo Zane Kirchner speel en Adriaan Strauss bo Smit.

Ek stem saam met jou. Francois Louw is nie n fetcher se gat nie. Pieter de Villiers moes dit in die s14 finaal al gesien het. Hy vou as die druk baie is. Heinrich Brussouw het n reuse verskil laasjaar gemaak.

Just for the record, if I have offended anybody (those that are alive anyway) I apologise unreservedly…but if I bump into Rolland in a bar somewhere, I am definitely going to moer him.
There was a study done on genetic types a long time ago which apparently is now not published any longer because it would be politically incorrect. Anyway, Polynesians were judged to be the finest physical examples of Homo Sapiens. Anglo Saxons were about 3rd or 4th on the list. I think that it is possible to find enough anomolies in any population group to make that a rubbish statement, especially with the physical conditioning that people undergo today.
You win any battle by doing things in the following order.
Build a belief in what you are doing.
Plan correctly.
Undergo the proper mental conditioning.
Undergo the proper physical conditioning.
I think the Boks are lacking in points 2 and 3.
There was once a study done at an American university, two teams were to compete in a basketball match, they were both equally physically fit.
The one team did only physical training including tactics.
The other team did only positive mental conditioning.
The training period was 2 weeks.
Guess which team won!!!
