All Blacks (13) 31 / Springboks (7) 17 (Final Score)

The All Blacks hosted the Springboks at 09:35 SA Time in Wellington, New Zealand for the 2nd Tri-Nations Test. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The Game was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA.

For the 2nd weekend in a row the All Blacks score 4 tries against the Springboks to earn a bonus point.

This time the All Blacks win by 31 / 17, a 14 point margin.

Lots of complaints about they way the referee handled the game, but let’s be honest, the All Blacks were the better team on the day again.

Let’s hope Ruan Pienaar now gets a starting berth against the Wallabies and BJ Botha plays at tight head prop. Let’s also hope the National Coach realises that Jean de Villiers is not a right wing.

Ja sure – you are just hoping they are peaking EARLY !! 😆

I did not say he tried to hurt Kichner, just that it was meant to be a hard tackle – there is a mile wide difference between the two.

@ ps in CT:I agree with you…its the Nanny mentaility of Europe, it is a physical game after all…and the refs ARE NOT consistent…the scrums have become a joke and the tackle and loose areas are also laughable.

@ superBul:224 – Super, Sorry to answer this late. Just went to listen to what they were saying in the studio. Yes the ref was totally atrocious today. They should have had two yellow cards. We may have scored a try there too if one of their players were out for 10 min. BUT still think they would have beaten us. ABs were still far better than the Boks. We were outplayed by a better team.

Our selections will cost us too. How can JdV just walk into this team? He never played S14 this year and never played all the time for Munster either. He sat on the bench plentyt there he should have played his way back into the Bok team. Play Aplon there or the Bulls wing there or even Mvovo but please NOT JdV who should be dropped. Ruan HAS to start at scrummie next week if we want to have a chance to beat the Wallabies. Once he came on our game was a lot better.

Rene Ranger should be cited for that shoulder charge on Zane. If that was Butch I bet you he would have been cited. Well he would have had a yellow and off to the bin. Also McCaw gets away with far too much he should have got a yellow too. Really bad reffing but like I said we would still have lost even if we had a better ref. ABs were too good for us today Super.

Well done All Blacks and your supporters….awesome showing.
Boks…wake up guys, you are better than this and our real rivals are not going to roll over.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and perfidion on the Bulls and power to the Sharks.

Rugby-Princess if it is any comfort I would have Rene Ranger in my team any day!! 😉

    @ 4man:
    Oom Norm
The IRB & SANZAR created something in world rugby which is going to cost a team in each game being played where cross refereeing happens, i.e. NH blow SH game & vice versa. We saw it last week & we saw it today. Unfortunately we the spectators are sitting with that frustration when on the losing side. The best man o the park today was probably Stu Dick’son and he should have blown the game, not the two Oirish paluukas
Else how you doing in your new company?

@ ps in CT:Werk my gat af maat maar moet nog mense kry om op n toer te gaan. I have done a couple articles for magazines and trying to get freebee ads to go along with them. But the feldspar business is coming to the boil, the interested company in Europe are sending a Geologist to look at our mine and the logistics to nearest port in Sept…they are talking about buying our mineral rights….we havent started negotiating yet though.
Tell your rich mates if they want to shoot any of the big 5 I must know now, so we can get the permits for next year…Botswana is best and tens of thousands of $ cheaper.

  • 289

@ Rugby_Princess:287 – RP, Hoping think the Wallabies will beat us too if we play like that.

  • 290

    @ Ashley:
