A Hurricanes medical report has revealed that Ma-a Nonu will miss the All Blacks Tests in June after picking up an injury in his final Super 14 clash against the Waratahs.

Nonu ruptured the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Sydney last weekend. The Hurricanes were hoping to beat the Waratahs and secure a place in the play offs but lost ending their Super14 campaign.

At this stage it is not anticipated that the 46 Test Nonu will require surgery and he is expected to return to full training in approximately six weeks.

All Blacks coach Graham Henry is likely to replace Nonu with Luke McAlister for the All Blacks three tests against Ireland (June 12) and Wales (June 19 and 26).

Nonu may also be in doubt for the opening Tri-Nations clash against South Africa in Auckland on July 10.

The Hurricanes medical report also revealed that Nick Crosswell ruptured the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. At this stage it is not anticipated that he will require surgery and he is expected to return to full training in approximately six weeks.

In addition Hurricanes captain Andrew Hore dislocated his left shoulder and scans have revealed ligament and other soft tissue damage. An opinion on the need for surgery is being sought.
